@utubeDiode anybody who has been slicing long enough knows that manual is always the best option. sure with snap to zero crossing its kind of hard to fail even with auto-slice, however, to get the exact hits you want you will have to do it yourself.
@KevinDolin who said anything about reason? i use recycle to output soundfont and rex files only and i dont even do that anymore. i just set edison markets and then drag it to fl slicer channel. fl takes away a lot of headaches and has a great workflow. however, i recently bought reaper and i am astounded at its power. however, it reminds me of reactor in the sense that it has every feature ANY daw for ANY reason would ever need. but, you have to find them in the action list.
@trawhi also most actions have to be bound to a key manually. this is both bad and good because you can create macros. however, it also makes the learning curve somewhat steep to get down a solid workflow.
i have to tell u one thing thank you so freakin much the last part that it chops up ur sample after u save it with the slices omg u r a god thank u sooo much just what i needed
It is true that most programs will autoslice, however, I find that auto slicing often leads to me having slices i dont want to have. I don't that the video wastes much time. I take my time slicing the beat and explaining why i am careful. The only issue I run into is is finding the button. That lets me set the loop. I then go through setting the envelopes once I find the button. Then I go into the saving options. I don't see how I wasted much time. If you see where I waste time point it out.
I'd appreciate if you'd point out what you think could have been done better. If you think talking about the zero crossing is a waste of time I beg to differ although it takes time off the video it explains something that someone new to slicing would not know. Therefore they will learn not to create clicks regardless of their slicing software.
no man i dont think you wasted too much time.i believe that was the comment below me.but the auto slice also has a sensitivity control so you are able to decide how detailed you want to slice.say just kicks, snare, toms and what not to stronger sensetivity that picks out hi hats more subtle things.but like i said before good video.
dude... dont get offende but ur not the best teacher in the world...lol buut!!! IT HELPED ME ALOT.. Ive been messing with this program all day and couldt figure it out.. anyways heres some honest comments. Might wanna do all of it 1st before u start recording the vid that way u dont waste time. THANKS FOR THE HELP. Keep them Beats Comin!! PEACE
why the hell aren't you using the slice slider?! That's what makes recycle so cool, it slices automatically!

Of course you could just ditch reason, get yourself a real DAW and have all of this functionality (and way more) inside the host itself.
