This does work but all it does is stop the game from loading automatically. Nintendo logo disappears and you hear a few beeps. pressing A,B, or the D pad starts up the game. Hold select and start while powering up.

This isn't completely fake. If you hold start and select or pres repeatedly, the nintendo will go away. This is how you update fire red or leaf green to link up with newer gba pokemon games.  However, Super Mario Bros. won't pop up. That is fake. The start/select also works on advance, not just advance sp. Don't beleive me? Check in the back of a pokemon GBA manual. it's also in the user manual somewhere. I AM NOT A GEEK I JUST KNOW A LOT ABOUT ELECTRONICS!!!!!!
