Can't blame everything on Satan. I blame the evil in man's heart. What sin have you committed that required Satan's help? From my personal experience, unfortunately, I have enough evil in my own heart without needing anyone's help.
But if Jesus crossed Satan at the cross, then shouldn't Romans 16 say that God has already crushed Satan? But it doesn't say that.
Although I haven't studied the context recently, it would appear that Paul was addressing a particular spiritual issue the Romans were dealing with.
Look, this position of preterists here is frankly dangerous. Satan would like nothing more than for saints to "set aside" their armor of God, deluded into thinking Satan is a powerless foe, bound in the pit.
The Old Testament wrathful Jehovah of fundamentalists, 'a jealous god', 'lord of this world', the god who throws a tantrum because knowing good from evil made man 'know they are gods, like Us' is 'Satan'. The God of Jesus is 'the Elohim', the Incomprehensible Unity hidden in and beyond the physical universe, the 'Infinite Light of Nothing' of which all things are manifestations that 'live and move and have their being', 'quantum foam' and awareness of it is the 'Christ within' and it is 'Love'.
stevehauk GOD bless you my brother, satan is in our mist everyday of our life.that is why the bible says, we must always watch and pray all the time.hes very angry ,thereby using humans to carry out hes mischiefs.
Satan is alive - if not why does the new testement say put on the whole armour of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil - for satan roameth around like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour ..satan is the enemy of the church and he will be alive and attacking until the very end whens he first is bound 1000 years then loosed for a ittle while and then cast away forever ...
Wen Adam was 1st created satan became envious because Adam was created from clay and satan was created from smokeless fire and so satan claimed to be superior to man and thus became the enemy of man. So u see satan happened to be the first racist-judging on MAKEUP.
Initially satan had a gud status living amongst the angels worshiping God. He preferd to lose his status out of envy and jealousy of man. He is given respite until the day of judgement.
Where did you get that information from that satan was created from smokeless fire, and that he claimed to be superior to man and that he was jealous of man?
Does the Bible say satan does not exist? Who is satan in your perspective? I know you don't believe, but who do you think they (Christians) think satan is?
He and his demons have visited real people and empowered to them to do many evils to other people. IS you are not joking then one day you will need to make a life and death decision. Will you choose to worship the One True God or will you worship the Beast? Is will be far better for you to worship the One True God. The consequences of such a choice are eternal. Eternal bliss or eternal torment.
Col 2:14having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. 15When He had disarmed the rulers and authorities, He made a public display of them, having triumphed over them through Him.
If this guy doesn't think Satan is alive and well on planet earth he's deluded. He needs to leave his air conditioned office and take a trip to India or Saudi Arabia or even Harlem.
Man's sin is due to man's sin, not to Satan. MAN is the chief agent of evil in the world. If Satan had been destroyed completely then the world would still be an evil place due to the total depravity of man. The world is a bad place because of OUR sin. Be responsible! Stop blaming your own sin on Satan!
Have you not read? Have you not heard what Christ did on the cross? 26"If Satan has risen up against himself and is divided, he cannot stand, but he is finished! Mark3:27"But no one can enter the strong man's house and plunder his property unless he first binds the strong man, and then he will plunder his house.
Well tempus he doesn't need to go to Saudi Arabia but you do need to go to the Scriptures and see them in light of their context not in light of your own assumptions about the world. I am from the Middle East and I have been to all those places you mentioned. If I take your approach, I am very well convinced that Satan is being crushed in those places. I see people coming to Christ everyday. But that's not the way to do theology. I think you should look at the cross and what Christ accomplished.
Do you believe Scripture? How do you interpret Romans 16:20? Paul wasn't speaking of the cross since he wrote thirty years after and said Satan would soon be crushed under the Roman's feet. Satan more than likely met his doom circa AD 70 with the coming of Christ, the demise of the Old Covenant order and the eternal institution of the New Covenant. From that moment on all are one who are in Christ. They possess perfect peace, righteousness and eternal life.
Satan is alive not well. It is not well with him and he is an angry being full of wrath and anger. And he tries to make God out to be the wrathful one. Please.

Does SOON in Roman 16 mean 2000+ years?
Or does soon mean imminent to the Christians in Rome during the 1st Century?
So, was Satan crushed in the 1st century?
If Satan was crushed, when did it take place?
70 AD?
Would this be the casting of Satan into the lake of fire?
Is it necessary to believe that Satan is still alive and not well to be a Christian?

Satan's plans may have been turned against him in the past.
He's a spirit being (invisible/untouchable) and isn't dead.
He won't be permanently stopped/crushed until he's
burned to ashes with sin and death..this hasn't
happened yet.

All this religious nonsense about satan begs a simple question: who is the boss then, God or Satan? If God can crush Satan what is He waiting for?

I think during OT times his anger was because of all the evil things man
and woman were getting into. But when they turned away from them,
God returned love.

"until the day of judgment." R U referring to Rev. 20:1-3? Satan is angry that's for sure (Rev. 12:10).

Who is the chief agent of evil in the world: Man or Satan?

Agree - we don't need Satan to have evil. I always like to ask people what sin they have ever committed that required Satan's help.

Satan was the first to sin/rebellion against the direction God wanted him
to follow. Making Satan the father of sin. If he worked on Adam & Eve
to sin, surely he's working on everyone to this day. He plants the
thoughts..people can chose to act on it..but Satan's spirit
is always there, or one ofthe trillions of demons that
fell with him.

You really don't need satan (known as a supernatural fallen being), you just need satan (as man) to have the evils we see.
