I've never seen him use a double pedal live, its always been the heel toe technique.. but feel free to link me to any video showing him using a double bass!

Back in the day he did, albeit it was rarely used. When it was, it was for the occasional embellishment. Check out the Le Zenith DVD and you'll hear/see it used infrequently. Seems like he ditched it pre-Absolution recordings. This song is just flams on the toms and a stacatto kick pattern.

@ljoekelsoey4 back in the Showbiz days, he did use a Tama Iron Cobra Double Pedal for Cave. He later got rid of it. It COULD be speculated that h e used those for fills at some point in Showbiz, but is certainly not necessary for any Muse song.
