I'd say this moment is one of the most effective for all the events of the series. It sufficiently sums up everything about Luke and Lorelei and...oh fuck it, it's a beautiful moment that should bring anyone with a soul to tears and even moreso anyone who's lost a love but never stopped loving that person. Luke and Lorelei were perfect for each other from the start and when this bit came along I just though "Please dear God let them get back together".
