@jerkface37 You dont render out videos, this video was a flipbook, which is a viewport video grab. When rendering out footage, you render out stills and put them together in a compositing application such as Nuke/Fusion/After effects. You can also stitch them together with Virtualdub.
@Jedipottsy Oh ok thank you so much i was getting a little bit frustrated. I looked up a lot of stuff but I never came up with an answer. I found a way to kinda render out a QuickTime video after I posted this but nothing to tell me what to do with the pics. Thank you so much I would probably be lost still w.o your help lol.
@caveman357 yeah houdini isnt terribly quick compared to realflow, you can speed up the results by using a collision mesh like i did. Houdini is a far more powerful solver however. I have 2 systems, a quad core intel with 8gb and a 6core amd with 4gb ram, both are about the same, but the 8gb ram deffo helps with simulations. Rendering varies depending on engine you use with mantra.
how do you get houdini to render into a video format? im just beginning to use software like this

i am messing with houdini right now. It seems to be rendering slow. Just wondering what type of system do you have.
