I love the "Katamari" games, but who here agrees with me when I say the next games in the franchise (which shall be amazing) need a new engine, I witnessed a lot of clipping and although the artstyle is quirky, it's beginning to show it's age. NEXT KATAMARI GAME NEEDS MORE POLISH TO THE GRAPHICS! Awesome run of this level sloo

The problem with Katamari and graphics is that in most games terrain can be represented as a few objects. In Katamari, there are thousands, and although I'm sure Katamari has in incredibly efficient system for managing them, it is very costly for the computer to have to "draw" each of these objects for one frame... So, Graphics update would be difficult.
