If you want to get your emails in another account, you can enable them, so you will recieve your mails in both accounts. In gmail, go to settings, Forwanrdign and POP/MAP, add forwardng address, and that's it, youll get your youtube emails in your new account. Screw you google.

Unfortunately, the moment I unlinked my account, it unlinked it and loaded the main page again, not allowing me to move on to the next step. And now when I try to repeat the process, it doesn't let me progress at all, merely saying that my account is not linked to any google accounts. :(

I linked my Google Account with my YouTube account years ago. However one issue is this, many made the mistake of creating a bunch of Google accounts. Then they tried the bad idea of segregating content or what ever to each account. Always thought that a mess.

@Paul Colligan Here is where the problem occurs. YouTube does not like to disassociate a Gmail account and replace it with another. Can you do this now Paul?

Next question, can one G+ Google Account, admin more than on YT channel now?

yes, google, doesn't allow newer youtube accounts post 2009 to be unlinked. hopefully this stupidity will change. i myself have a business youtube account connected to my personal gmail and my personal youtube tied to my business gmail, which is going to suck if i ever decide to use google+ or tether my account to a smart phone. there was a workaround for this available last year, but google has since removed it and has offered no further assistance.

Paul I think this is unclear you may have to show people who are not seeing the option what they need to do. Because this video does not seem to be across the board so you are adding confusion to those who cannot do the option you are sharing. I would do another video telling people what to do if they do not see this option. Pam

@colligan I just searched all over the place because I am unable to makethe change. I think changing the associated email address is only for youtube accounts that were created before May 2009 (Legacy accounts), which is unfortunate because I don't like the name on my legacy account but I can't change that either.

Well I made another YouTube account not knowing how to do this. My main google account is now associated with a new YouTube. Will this still work or will I need to unlink the other account as well?

@Mudrucker2112 Not sure what you are trying to do there. Big end game is this - make sure you the (main) Gmail account you use with Google+ is the same Gmail account you use with YouTube.

@colligan Google'd it. If the youtube account has a gMail account, and you want to change the youtube email to another email that also is a Google account (apps account) it is not possible. So it is possible if the new email is not an Google account (my take but I could have missed some details).
