  • my friend was in this [x he was the kid who was taken to the taffy puller [;

  • I DIDN'T KNOW JOE PESCI WAS IN THIS?

  • nice song choice and great edit!

  • wow this is fucking gay

  • yawn with a side of bores

  • how do u make that

  • WONKA WONKA!

  • To all who think Tim Burton remade the classic movie... HE DIDN'T! THIS movie is adapted from the book. He just wanted to capture the feeling of the book on the big screen. He did NOT try to remake the original movie.

BTW, really great video. Glad to see someone else has used the We Like To Party song.

  • @TabbPunk97 I'm pretty sure he has.

  • it´s great!

  • COOL

  • Even though the remake was a rape of a classic, this is a very good video! At least the scenes are not wasted.

  • @capie44 It was NOT a remake!

  • @cesarjimenezanimator I stand corrected...it was just an imitation remake; and still a rape of a classic.

  • @capie44 It was NOT an imitation remake!

    --

Tim Burton just made HIS version of the book, because the original classic, as I heard, didn't follow much of the book. So because of Tim's imagination and vision, he made this film much MORE like the book in it's rather-true form.

  • @cesarjimenezanimator

Since I haven't read the book, I can not argue. I defer to your point.

But as far as the two movies, TB's version was a rape of a classic (movie).

    I appreciate your response.

  • @capie44 Well, thanks, but Tim Burton doesn't want anything to do with the classic movie. He just made his own version because he wanted to.

I haven't seen ALL of the original movie, but I can see which parts where different from the book. I have read the book and I can reffer back to Tim Burton's movie version, and they're quite alike and so are some song lyrics (only since it's a movie version of the book, there' BOUND to be some changes).

  • nice job, love it

  • o wow funi but idk? FUNI:))

  • mdr

  • I don't like the original Willy Wonka because if you take a look at the Oompa Loompas in the original, they look the same and, they sing bad songs the same. I like this 1 because it has different songs and Veruca Salt looks much better than in the original. I read the books and it did not sound the same as the original and it sounded the same as this one. I read the book when I was 5 and watched the movie when I was seven ( when it came out ) my suggestion is that this willy wonka movie is bette

  • old 6 flags dude anyone ?

  • I first read the book when I was 7 years old... the 1st movie came out when I was 10. I remember being disappointed in the movie when I first saw it, mainly because the Wonka character (though wonderfully played by Gene Wilder!) didn't capture at all the character I'd imagined from the books, and the oompa loompas, were just way wrong. This version, "rapes" the Wonka character even worse - though loompas were a 'tad' better - I'd have loved to have seen (when he was alive) maybe George Carlin.

  • I like it :)

  • haha that's funny!

  • this song similar to "Paper Gangsta" of Lady GaGa

  • @modernkoro

    She copies everyone's work lol

  • To all the ppl who get so hateful and angry over whether the old one or this one was better, dude, its Willy Wonka, chill out, if you are getting this heated over the Willy Wonka movies, you need to check into an anger management program, because dudes, its just a movie

  • this is a cool video, thank you so much.

  • this movie sucked balls! tim burton should be shot! fuckin weirdo!!!!

  • lol that was really good i love it

  • I love you!!

  • rofl, its not bad for a first vid, not bad at all :D

  • genious and epic. great start on youtube. its a little late, but better late than never. (my cliche of the day, couldnt help it)

  • Good quality!

  • I liked this movie, but you can't beat the origonal.

  • Sorry, but i think this movie butchered Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.

  • @Lugiarulz233 Good, that movie needed a good butcher. XD

  • @Lugiarulz233 Geezus, and I thought I was the only one. Remaking this movie in today's standard's is like scrogging the cat in the neighbors back yard and not caring to get caught! And to model Wonka after Marilyn Mansion???? How creepy is that? The director should have tossed THAT interpretation of a character right out of the set within 10 minutes (one minute for stopping, and nine for finding ten bucks a head for 5 crew to bodily remove the costume from Depp's visage!.)

    Creepy.

  • oooooooooo this video is cool. look at the blue spining

  • wow

    that was AMAZING!!

  • Haha, that was hilarious! I love it. :3

  • Love it!!!

  • i liked it

  • Dude, AWSOME!

  • The movie had to expand more on the movie, giving it more of a sentrifical (if I spelled that right) on the aspects of Charlie and Willy Wonka. The 1971 incorrectly title 'Willy Wonka' and the Chocolate Factory was too short for our generation, thus needing to expand on the book. This version had more of a heart and bonding, but as the first movie, it stopped short in the glass elevator. And this version added Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator, getting the house to the factory.

  • have you read the book great glass elevator? its the sequel its pretty awseome in my opinoin

(sorry if you dont like reading an or offended)

  • 2:42. The Beatles.

  • the songs in C&TCF are in the book. the new version is more accurate then WW&TCF.

But to comment on the VIDEO! I like it

  • 0:32 and 0:42 lol

  • pretty kool

  • 0:16

Oh god, as if this movie wasn't dumb enough. Please tell me those are NOT the Oompa Loompas of this remake!

  • Hmm, while we're all entitled to our opinion, I think it wouldn't hurt for you be a bit more informed before making a comment like that. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is by no means a "remake" of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, as I assume that's what you meant. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, directed by Tim Burton was a separate story more focused on the book originally written by Roald Dahl, which was CALLED Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

  • I understand that, but it still technically is classified as a "remake." Willy Wonka changed a lot from the book, but it still kept the basic synopsis. So, unless you can show how the first movie was totally (not slightly) different than the second one, then yes, it is a remake.

Besides, that doesn't alter the fact that this movie is 10x gayer than the previous one, and about a tenth as well received.

  • Well, the big differences I see are in Willy Wonka, Charlie even got into trouble. That doesn't happen in Dahl's book. That whole charade with the other candy makers didn't happen. The songs were not in the book, there's no golden hens, it was squirrels. The Oompa Loompas didn't look a thing like the ones in the book, neither did Willy Wonka. To call Charlie and the Chocolate factory a "remake" to that film is the popular thing to believe, but it's a completely different version.

  • It's like saying any one of the Batman movies remade the others. That's not true, it's the director's interpretation of the comics. Some are close, some are not. Some are more like fan-fictions. I feel it's no different with these 2 movies. I personally prefer this version since it painted a more accurate picture of the book I grew up with. I never felt Willy Wonka quite did that.

  • Still, do you think this movie will ever be a classic like the first one?

Some things just outshine their original counterparts. The wrestler the Rock is a prime example of this, as is the Dragonball Z anime and Spiderman 2 from the trilogy of movies.

The second one was well received, but it will soon be forgotten. Willy Wonka will live on forever.

  • This is where opinion comes into play, since I don't agree that any of the things you mentioned are all that great. Keep in mind though, people always search for different things. Tim Burton is a pretty prestigious director, and while I can't call his work "classic" since it's not that old yet, but I believe there's something to be said about his originality while still keeping touch with the original subject matter he's pulling from. I see what you're saying, although I cannot agree.

  • To say Tim Burton's adaptation of the book is a "remake" of the other Willy Wonka film is a little... off. Considering you're comparing apples and oranges. The songs from Tim Burton's version were in the book, his Oompa Loompas were closer to the descriptions written by Dahl, and Wonka's character is even closer to the book.

  • Wonka's character CLOSER to the book? Please tell me you are joking. Mr. Willy Wonka in the book NEVER told Charlie he had to abandon his family, never had flashbacks about his awful past, never was estranged from his father, never had his father's house relocate to the north pole!! While many aspects of Mr. Burton's movie are closer to the book, his "version" of Willy himself is completely wrong.

  • thats called originality

  • i most certainley agree and i think it also lleft out the part were there on that train thing and it scared everybody where willywonka was like "the fires of heck are raising!"

  • I'm gonna give you 5 stars for this.. 4 for the video and 1 for NOT using that Annoying "Crazy Frog" Version of the Song....

  • I think if you could control the speed of some scenes, it'd integrate itself almost perfectly to the music.

  • weird but great
