Yes, it is glossy and it is somewhat fingerprint prone. I use it myself, but it wouldn't be much of a problem only if your hands aren't too dirty/sweaty lol If it bother's you, you could buy clix cover. I have two types of covers
I like clix better. It's design is much more refined and I bet that there's not much difference in the video quality. If you decide on clix, I recommend you buying clix cover.
Also off Amazon what colour is the backing, is it black or white and does it come with that orange line down the side of it (they show it in the amazon picture).
the only way to find out is go and check for yourself personally.if you are satisfied go for it,ask whether its got A2DP stereo head phones, coz A2DP sound quality is good.
the 2nd gen. iriver uses buttons above underneath and to the right and left of the screen that you press to navigate. they wanted the design to look sleek
ya it is, theres someone on ebay who selles them for 27 bucks : ) and the iriver s7 for 9, they live in korea and it takes a while to get here but its so sick
i have an iriver H10....20 GB but it stopped working (i sent it to the main store and they said it was the server and that they are out of parts)..which i am shattered about. Even though mine stopped working I still agree that iriver cains ipods!! :D I LOVE the clix but am worried about the small memory (2 and 4 GB are all i can find out my way). How much would a 2-4 GB clix hold song wise? sure is a lot less than my old 20 GB.
I live in Canada and can't get the iRiver clix 2 8 gig anywhere except online and I don't want to purchase online because of all the extra fees that'll increase my budget from low 200$ to close to 300$ (shipping, tax)
what physical stores in Burlington in Vermont, New Hamsphire and Hong Kong can I purchase this?
I have an old IFP-790 from iRiver and to be quite honest, it stills beats a lot of other newer MP3 players out there. I've bought, tried out and returned the SanDisk Sansa 8GB AND the Creative Zen V Plus 8GB...tried out the iPOD 30Gig...didn't like it (overrated and fewer features than Zen Vision M (which was pretty decent))...but still, my little iRiver IFP-790 still wins in sound quality over all of them that I mentioned. I hope iRiver developes an 8GB MP3 player for the North American market.
I agree with kooslap. Even my old 256mp IFP-190 still beats many new MP3 players. Like you, I returned the Creative. I just bought a 70 bucks Walkman 2G NW-E005F, and this Sony MP3 player still can't compare to my old IFP-190 by means of sound quality and control. Iriver is good.
I'm looking at COWON products now...they have the new iAudio 7 and the D2 MP3 players. They look great in features and control manipulation!! They say the sound rivals the iRivers (and perhaps beats it). This whole "Clix" idea by clicking on all sides is not very practical. If iRiver wants my money for a my new MP3 player, they better come out with a practical product. I'm waiting for COWON to come out with the 16GB chip for the iAudio 7, which should be very soon according to the company.
Visit Hacha Online[dot]com for the Hacha PC20 portable media player which slightly resembles the Clix with it's slim stylish looks. It's brother, the Hacha PA20 is a 3.2" touch screen PMP. Both models will be released very soon.
looks great. shame there are no carry cases for the clix but apart from that. the player itself looks great. hope it peforms as good as it looks. thanks for the video i enjoyed it. gr8 music..
Can someone access the music from navigation for me and make a video about it?

Does this iRiver have a really glossy front panel, and if so, does that mean it's very fingerprint prone?

This comment has received too many negative votes show
it's a bit pricy isn't it. How about the itouch e.t.c, some pretty coloured screens don't grab me. I would rather a touch screen for that price.

Really? That's annoying I paid full price for mine but I think it's worth it.

ya, i think they made a mistake or something, but they sell used mp3 players for insanely low prices, its deff worth it : )
applejoosproductions 4 years ago
Well, it's a bit late now =(. But yeah, I think it's well worth paying full price for any iriver anyway.
P:S Look up Iriver NV! The new one which might be coming out next year
