  • Weapons load crew 49th MMS F-4D 72-74....

  • Wow, brings back memories! I worked the F117a from 90-97 in the 415th FS / 9th FS. Was Weapons "two" man until 95' then crossed to engines. Miss my monthly loadbarn in 877, lol.

  • Oh my...what time it takes. Ever seen Swedish Airforce do a turn around with full weapon load?

  • What is the name of the weapons load trolley to load the a/c?

Is there a link about it?

  • Thats the MJ-1 Lift Truck - standard for use in loading munitions on any fighters in the USAF.

  • Thank You, very much, that was great help.

So, is that the only weapons loading equipment used on all U.S. planes ? F16,18,22, 117 and now the 35?

  • No... there is another lift truck - the MHU-83... and then there's the MOLT - which is a manual loading trailer... AIM-9 missiles are loaded by hand without the use of equipment.

These lift trucks are used to load:

    A-10, T-38, F-16, F-15, F-117, F-22, B-1, B-2, and B-52. not the F-18 (Navy)

  • Great, thanks for the information!

p.s. In the words of the late night crowd on the Tonight's show with Conan O'brien: USA!!! USA!!! USA!!

    lol

  • Never mind, LALS is the full system and MHU-131 is a part of it . :-)

  • Does MOLT stand for Manually operated Lift trailer?

  • yep

  • Pretty cool. I used to do this on F-111F and D models. Looks like GBU-10"s and GBU-12's being loaded.

  • That's funny I worked F-111E's in the UK (Upper Heyford)

  • Sad that they're all gone now. Never thought I'd miss that jet.
