  • Elfman is better.

  • Your analysis discerning the "Heralding"/"Approaching theme{s} is insightful and intelligent . I would mention Revell's Score for :The Crow as one which combined both of these themes

  • Overall, I liked Batman Begins soundtrack better than The Dark Knight. But I think TDK is the better movie. There are some good bits in TDK soundtrack and I liked the last track on the CD the best. Then again, TDK is a darker film than Begins, so you have to expect a darker soundtrack.

  • The Joker theme is very different from anything else that has been composed before.

  • great discussion on the differences of musical themes!

  • Elfman's stuff is better than the new things, even though they are very different. John Williams is the king of film scores, nobody beats him except possibly for Jerry Goldsmith. I liked the soundtrack to Batman Begins, and I don't know if TDK is better than that. Batman had his own theme in Begins, and he should have had one in TDK.

  • Dark Knight soundtrack was incredibly awesome! Really got chills and exictment when listening to them.

  • The soundtrack seriously gave me chills down my spine espically the very last Dark Knight.
