Old ones are the best! I loved their voices and the pulsating red eyes. When they went to do the remake I couldn't believe they got rid of my favorite part of the original series...the robots!

the new cylons in the show are way better especially the CGI of the old centurions, the old ones were plastic and looked like cheap costumes.

I may love the remake series, but I do like the original cylons better than the ones from the remake.

I like the new cylons. They aren't so black and white when compared to the humans. There is a lot more grey area when comparing humans to cylons (i.e. one isnt clearly good and one clearly bad). At the beginning of the new series, I think the cylons are clearly bad but as the show continues, you begin to feel for them...something i could never do with the older series.

@glennjridge Actually one 2 were pilots, the cylon in the back just gave orders. That is why in the movie Razor, the 3rd cylon was Gold.

@bananaramamark so it took 2 cylons to pilot one of their craft and 1 commander cylon to keep telling them stuff they already know.shoot down the vipers.

if it were me I would have laid off the gold cylon and one of the pilots and saved a shitload of money.

@CE750 I totally agree with you. Razor was one of the few good episodes (movie) of the new series, because it had the classic cylons, ships, and The Pegasus (which if they had any brains, they would have kept the Pegasus and destroyed the Galactica instead).

Old cylons just act to human: only thing that resembles the robot is shiny armor and the voices. When you think cgi is a cheap solution => cgi is a lot harder to make then hiring actors and using a speech effects (which are also used with the cgi)

I liked it when the old-school Cylons turned up in the fourth-season TV movie "Razor", because they were actually pretty badass (as opposed to just showing up to get blown to pieces as they did in the original Battlestar). That said... I liked the design of the new Cylon Centurions a bit better. Don't hurt me :(

The 3 cylons in 1 rader are used for the purpose of command(flight leader in the middle at the back), 1 on the left navigates & flies the ship and the dude on the right is the gunner. And i think baltar wore that helmet to command that ship. IL series have always been my fav type & the garrison or basestar commander (in gold) comes 2nd. New cylons not bad but never spoke even though they had the grill to speak from. Old 1s any day.
