White Aryans are the aristocracy of the human species. Negroes are in poverty becuase they don't have the creative ability of the Aryans. Negroes never even invented the wheel or an alphabet before the colonial perioid/arab invasions.
Every area where the majority of the population are negroes has the same quality of life. It's not just Africa look at Haiti or Detroit, parts of Detroit rival Africa in terms of poverty and depravity.
Only the Aryan races can save the Earth from destruction.
@roentgen571 ~ The forms share a common ancestor ~ Buddha ~ what's Ur reason 4 the " " ~ Zen emphasizes experiential Wisdom in the attainment of enlightenment. As such, it de-emphasizes theoretical knowledge in favor of direct realization through meditation and dharma practice.
@PostNeutral If as educated 21st century people we accept the obvious vis-à-vis Buddha being nothing more than a construct of the human mind born of ignorance of course he/she/it 'grasped' nothing.
@roentgen571 According to the mythology he achieved Christ like status while in human form. I know its silly and I've forgotten what this thread was even about!
@BiodegradeableMan Depends on who you talk to. None of the soto or rinzai (two largest branches of buddhism in Japan--between them they make up almost all of Japanese buddhism) priests I've met believe anything like that.
@roentgen571 When you or I start to cogitate seriously on something a Priest might say then we have a problem. I hold no personal grudge against anyone who believes in magic but I do insist they keep their mumbo-jumbo away from me.
@BiodegradeableMan lol...yes, we can't possibly trust what a priest says about his beliefs. When they tell you they don't believe in God or reincarnation or that the Buddha was a man, they must be lying! After all, they're PRIESTS, right?
@roentgen571 Not overtly lying necessarily merely parroting whatever their particular brand of cultism espouses. I have no ingerent aversion to fantasy but I do draw the line when said indugences and wistful romantic notions are proferred as factual realities. Please don't get all defensive my derision was not aimed specifically at Priests per se just any individual who believes in the supernatural (magic).
@BiodegradeableMan Here's the thing. I'm pointing out to you that zen buddhism isn't about "magic," it says nothing about the supernatural, holds no opinion on the afterlife, and believes the buddha was a man. You say "how do you know?" and I say "because that's what every zen priest I've ever read or spoken to has told me," and you scoff because they're priests and therefore believe in magic. In other words, you already know what you believe about buddhism, don't bother you with the facts.
@roentgen571 As long as its simply used as another term for congruence common sense and the managing of inner conflict ala Freud I'm ok with it. Unfortunately its become westernized and trendy. I blame the Beatles myself.
@TJae1 "Buddhism" is a name applied to a very wide range of beliefs. The Tibetan school of Buddhism is very esoteric and mystical, and even "superstitious." On the other hand, the zen schools from Japan are more like philosophy than religion. No supernatural claims? No life after death? The buddha was just a man? The two approaches are very dissimilar.
@PostNeutral "Coupled with the disparate nature of the self (as uncovered by neuroscience) it becomes easier to understand." That lines a doozy, I think I'll throw it at pyrrho for a laugh!"

Gary, pls clarify something for me? You state that people impose life through reproduction and it’s their fault that said life suffers correct? Now whilst I agree entirely with that premise how can you simultaneously espouse determinism? How can you blame them for their extravagance and self-indulgence when (if I'm correct) we have no agency or latitude at all? If we live pre-ordained lives devoid of choice (determined) how can there be blame attributed to anything we do as mere automatons?
@zosozm69 Determinism suggests that everything in the Universe is pre-ordained and 'determined'. Therefore no-one has any choice, everything you or I ever did or will do is set. If one subscribes to this hypothesis then by default how can that person become angered by the actions of others? By this logic Ted Bundy was not a malicious killer simply a puppet with zero agency. Sounds like a cop out to me but many on YT seem to tout it.
@TheSuicidalOptimist "Determinism suggests that everything in the Universe is pre-ordained "
I see it more like everything in the universe is linked. it kind of comes to the same thing as we are talking about causation.. ie, properties of existence where stuff acts.
basically, add time, but information and momentum is preserved, whatever state we look at we can see vectors that make sense of in terms of parts affecting each other.. or something like that.
@TheSuicidalOptimist Many worlds is deterministic, it tries to explain things like radio active decay in terms of the universe being part of a larger system that we only see a part of.. in which all quantum states are resolved.. or something along those lines, (a little help from wiki there).
Track down a talk by David Deutsch on the Ted channel about this, you will see that the hypothesis is based on measurements. it is not just a random theory.. if you see what I mean.
@marsCubed As I said I've had an interest in quantum mechanics and followed the many worlds theory for some time. At this point however there are ao many proferred variations on the work of Feynman and others that it could be called the many theories theory!
Here David Deutsch talks about some theories of knowledge and describes a the basis for the many worlds interpretation. It is not the actual physics but it puts it into context as it concerns why the many worlds model should be taken seriously. The Earth being spherical was once thought absurd, so the many worlds model faces similar challenges. However repeated measurements & observations can come to change our understanding of things.
@marsCubed Thanks I've actually been interested in the multiverse hypothesis for some time and as you will know there appears to be as many interpretations as surmised universes! My interest was piqued initially indirectly by things like the Einstein-Rosen Bridge and the now redundant steady state theory. There is evidence to (not empirical) to suggest this universe is one of many however with the Copenhagen interpretation being followed by so many others, who knows?
@zosozm69 Of the top of my head I remember it was an interesting mathematical equation looping back on itself. It does appear to mimic naturally occurring cellular repetition if my recall is sound. Not sure how it ties into the theory of determinism. Michio Kaku gives a good in-depth account of the math behind it in his book Parallel Universes; I’ll give that chapter a re-read.
If your correct about how stupid people are, you could still have problems. There could be an evolutionary splitting or breaking away of different groups of people similar to how the races split and developed along different lines.
Anyway, one group could have views that are similar to your own, and the other group could be more like soccer fans. Your group would be sort of like rabbits while the other would be like lions.
Well.... we are talking about warfare because nothing short of that will accomplish what you are talking about. You aren't going to REASON the most powerful 5% of the world out of their extravagance. I'm not saying that it isn't necessarily worth it, but just to be clear, there is no peaceful hope of getting to that solution. Since that 5% controls all of the cool, deadly stuff - it would be a REALLY bloody exercise. Oh, they control 60-70% of the people who have less money than them too.
@AncientAtheist woah. when you put it like that... bad times... : (
maybe we could just do a mass sit-down protest? like eeeeeeveryone in the world just refuse to go to work, refuse to buy anything, pay taxes all that jazz.. live off the land.. loot and pillage, reduce the world to its knees and fend for ourselves.. only then will the rich be powerless! no? oh ok, i'll get me coat...
