To be fair. Its the context that bothers me. They sound just fine unplugged. I hate all the electric stuff. I find it also annoying they have people thinking its what should be the music of the genre.

Plenty of classical that does a much better job and they DO sound good unplugged. But they don't put that at the forefront. Bleh =/

I think something a little closer(despite the electric stuff) would be perhaps a few songs from The Clockwork Dolls. Again. Far from perfect. But they use the modern to cover something that is old sounding. The orchestra. So its a trade off...I guess our little genre is still in its growing pains and needs to realise the modern stuff is not but a tool to sound like the old. Not to make something new sounding.
