i was adding a game or a cheat, i finished all the scripting and then, when i hit save, the ds froze while saving, caued action replay's memory to completley corrupt, all my games and cheats disapeard, plugging it into my laptop doesn't work, my laptop wont detect it, and when i add a game manually, when i hit save, it freezes and the bottom screen goes purple with milions of lines dancing around, the top stays as it is... i need a new 1 :'(
A+B+START+SELECT before the ds boots up and then you should keep holding on to it onces the action replay screen shows up try adding a new game itll work trust me :)

@ToonSly Nope. I only had 4 cheats in at the time. It was because the AR kept popping out while the game was still on. The last time it happened, the AR stopped working.

I have a different problem but ive read you can try two things, both of which i think delete all your codes but save the AR. First try holding select while turning on and release at "Not endorsed" screen. Or try holding A B Start Select while its off and turn it on, release at same screen. As i said my problem's different so idk if they work.Good luck

i hear gameshark does break easy to if not candled "properly" but its still a whole lot better then action replay u can do basically anything on that device even make ur own codes if ur not havin any luck finding some :P plus gameshark has been around for many years, since nintendo 64 to the older games that are like anteaks to us now. i think gameshark out of the two is a lot more of a trusting device, then that crappy waste of money trash that breaks the first time u use it lol.

Sometimes that happens when you don't push it in hard enough. Try taking it out, then push it back in with a little extra force. Not to much otherwise you'll break it.
This is wierd i just bought the action replay last night. when i started it, it had a bunch of games with codes and Animal Crossing was one of them which i bough the thing to cheat on but i messed something up and i figured out that you put the game cartrege in the AR card slot on the top then you put it in the game. when i turned the game back on i couldnt find that list again, i think i erased something. so how do you restart it so you dont have to buy a new ar chip? pleese help

if u have two action replays, u can put one in that works, and after that when its still on, take the action replay out, and put in the bricked one. then the bricked one will load, and then u can hook it up to the computer (action replay code manager), and click on the mouse button on the DS and click on UPDATE.
you probably bricked it. bricking is when you unplug it during a software updating or when adding a new code. im pretty sure there is no way to fix this. i know this because i had one and bricked it and that same thing happened
i just dropped my action replay when i finally learned how to copy and paste codes and now it freakin broke -_- i have to buy a new one now -_-

This happens when you plug the usb into the AR upside down. Make sure its plugged in the right way or else itll overheat the AR.
Thats how I "Fixed" mine.

take the game out
blow quite hard inside the ds card insert then on the chip of the game

i use an eraser and mine works like it was brand new again. just be sure to blow it out after using the eraser.

Here is some tips for your ARDS:
1. Put it in a case
2. Use it carefully(EG. don't go psycho and throw it.
3. Hold it tightly or you will drop your DS and most likely hit the AR with it.

copy everthing of your new card to your computer like a backup if your card doesnt work trow your backup on it and you can play again

This is wierd i just bought the action replay last night. when i started it, it had a bunch of games with codes and Animal Crossing was one of them which i bough the thing to cheat on but i messed something up and i figured out that you put the game cartrege in the AR card slot on the top then you put it in the game. when i turned the game back on i couldnt find that list again, i think i erased something. so how do you restart it so you dont have to buy a new ar chip? pleese help

game experts told me action replay can destroy the ds when i went to buy it so i didnt get it. most frequint problem of all is when the action replay starts the nothing happens and the screen turns white and just stays like that!!!

There is a code thant i dont remember what it is but if you put it on an AR or Gameshark, It will do that and u r stuck not being able to fix it. My gamecube AR got so worn out, it just snapped in half. Man I need a new one 2 beat pikmin 2

you can play as if the ar is still in the system... of course if has to be the entire ar system but anyways for those of you with ars you can put the ar in the ds, wait until the ar main menu comes up and then take it out...
the ds thinks the binary is sill on so you can put what ever game and i will read it as if the ar is in... just thought people would like to kno!!!

yes. you have to poush the cart in but keep holding it down, dont let it pop up at all. thsi happens when the contacts in the NDS are pushed down because you insert the AR too hard. so when you hold it down and dont let go, turn the NDS console on and it should work. then turn it off and slowly let the cart release up. this should pull the contacts back up. :] this happened to my friend when he was launching the game cart out of his DS by letting the spring pop.

scratch the contacts on the AR?
other than that i have one thing.
put AR in. turn DS on. release AR from latch and take it out so the DS freezes.
turn DS off.
then put it back in and turn the DS on.
then if it doesnt show. do the thing i told you before.
if that doesnt work, keep trying what ever it takes.

1st solution:
if u have two action replays, u can put one in that works, and after that when its still on, take the action replay out, and put in the bricked one. then the bricked one will load, and then u can hook it up to the computer (action replay code manager), and click on the mouse button on the DS and click on UPDATE.

you probably bricked it. bricking is when you unplug it during a software updating or when adding a new code. im pretty sure there is no way to fix this. i know this because i had one and bricked it and that same thing happened
