Was yours an unlocked version of the 3gs? Meaning that it wasnt on a specific network? Because is unlocked and wondered if this would be the same setup as myn?

oh mate i got it sorted. i had to phone up my network provider like 5 times until they realised they had to activate my sim card. :( works great now! although sometimes i get no signal which is irritating...
