@SGTRVN1 THank you. Years of conducting matches and "carbine days" at the local range has taught me that most people are novices RE this type of shooting. Even a good range shooter gets cluster fucked when you ask them to lay on their side and shoot, or to bring their weapon up and engage with expediency.
overall i think you do good videos for the beginning or inexperienced shooter. you have good tips and pointers. just food for thought though. in the kneeling position.. in the police academy we learned 2 phrases that could be helpful. live toes and dead toes. this refers to the position of your toes(obviously) we are taught NEVER to have the tops of your toes on the ground because it is harder and slower to get back on your feet. always keep your toes under you so you can get up faster/easier.
Good vids. overall, but don't use your magazine as a support point in the prone. The magazine has always been the weak point in proper function of the AR series, and putting extra stress on it can lead to a malfunction when you least need it. Thanks for taking the time to film the positions, though.
@onaxthiel i was also taught not to put weight on the magazines when i was in the military. however i agree that this is now outdated information. i dont know if its due to research, new equipment or what, but now it is OK to use your magazine to support your weapon in the prone position. check out TODD JARRET vids where he not only rests the gun on the mag, but he puts downward pressure on the gun to show that it DOES NOT cause jams.
I really liked this one man. It was very straightforward and you did a good job of explaining what you meant so that another person could replicate what you were demonstrating AND understand what it should look and feel like when they're doing it right. (i.e. you want your elbows at 45* angle- why? Oh! that's why, etc.)
haha great video... love watching you roll around in the dirt with the AR.. haha

I meant no disrespect or critism. You tube is full of bs, yours is sincere and of genuine benefit to the novice. Thank you.

I won;t be critial, if it works for you being able to hit the target at long ranges, good on you. Just remember KIS, espcecially when instructing.

Are those Navy SEAL sunglasses? If not, you're a fake operator.

Those are certainly Navy SEAL sunglasses. The only poser thing about this vid is the freaking cameraman.
excurrahee 2 years ago
$hit son.. Cameraman is Pro Operator! Steven F'ing Spielberg behind that camera.
