I saw more of the race than the crews.
Consider this: If no one volunteers to work the course, as I did, there is no race.
I had shade, a comfy chair, tunes, a cooler, a grill, and fast cars flying by. What else do I need?

@slantvaliant i agree. i worked a gate about 2 years ago. i think the reason ppl are saying its boring is just because of the angle you got. try following the cars. lol now theres a challenge
