  • Definitely not full-size and has a modern starter since nobody had to crank the propeller. It's still a beautiful thing to see. The finish on the cowl is beautiful, jouilled like the real thing.

    Peace.

  • Its got a very short take off. Awesome upload, thanks

  • the real one did not have ailerons

  • Beautiful plane, although didn't the original E111's use wing flex instead of ailerons?

  • BEAUTIFUL JOB !

  • Does the mounted gun, dont shoot the propeller to pieces?

  • @Frederik19951995 nope, the Germans invented a synchronized gear system which meant the machine gun could only fire between the propeller.

  • Thats fantastic. I'm not being rude, but is it full scale?

  • @bankslord I don't think that's full scale. According to wiki, the Eindecker had a 31 ft. wingspan and a height of 7 ft-9 in.

  • @bicyclemonkey I forgot I'd posted on this vid. I think you're right. I read somewhere on the internet (after a bit research after watching this vid) that you can buy and build 3/4 scale home build kits of this plane. I'm sure it was an American company, pretty sure they do the Neiuport(sp?) in 3/4 scale too, although i might be wrong.

  • Is this machine Far 103 legal? I would think either the weight or stall may be high. If it is it is even more interesting to me! Great job on the video, thanks!

  • Dave, his dad Dick and various helpers took about a year of almost full time commitment to complete the project. It has very good small field capability but it needs a pilot with good judgement. It is fitted with disc brakes which helps if used with care! They have also built a 7/8 size Mustang Fighter and are building an RV8.

  • awesome! How long did it take to build? Looks like 200 foot landing and take off roll!

  • Great looking airplane. I powered mine with an A-65 Continental

    Jim

  • Sounds very nice. What is the engine, please?

  • I think that is a coverted Kohler 40 hp

  • Fantastic, looking great!

  • Nice one Pete
