  • T. Zaalishvili's voice is clear, pure & finds its mark in the heart & soul as the

composer intended. With a poetic grace, T.Z.'s enthralling sound & poignant

conviction overcome any doubt that he is the embodiment of Malkaz's yearning

melancholy. T.Z.'s singing is hauntingly beautiful, subtle & speaks the

language of the heart without the necessity of translation! The brooding knight

in the painting is a perfect symbol of strength, masculinity, courage but also

    torment! Bravo Anry!

  • @Kievest Thanks with all my heart for your great comment and charming personality which clearly shows through your words. As for translation, this words are by a genial Georgian poet Akaki Tsereteli and I could not dare translate it for myself. When I find a good English translation for this poem I will post it here instantly. Thank you!

  • Genial work by Z.Paliashvili and belcanto by T.Zaalishvili, far better than giant ZA in this aria for me ... his singing is takes deep impression and feeling. You are great to choose this picture for, illustration from the poem "The Knight in the Panther's Skin" - man who was giant, one of the greatest knight of the kingdom was crying like a baby, knight who could go against whole army - why?????? because he could not help for his BELOVED woman who was stolen by black wizards. GREAT post Anry!!!

  • @ditogam Yes, definitely better than Anjaparidze generally for this role, unlike Abesalom. But he is still so badly neglected showing but our shame.
