  • The closest thing to a Dwight Howard layup.

  • when shaq did that dunks, backboards were weaker and rim was attached to the glass, now rim isnt attached to the glass

  • @BazhoFromTheHood But also in 2006 shaq almost brought the whole basket down. Jst letting yu noe

  • @RadioVirusDG5 you cant compare shaqs past dunks to now... the rings and whole structures are reinforced on a whole new level

  • @Mriliketofu because of Darrel Dawkins, and then Shaq. Shaq didn't break the basket, he broke the all thing. Anyway Shaq's one was way more powerfull.

  • @Mriliketofu well ppl still compare kobe to jordan, so i guess you can compare shaw and dwight

  • nothing compared to shaq bringing down the ring

  • u cant compare this shit to shaqs dunk :)

  • his layup is a dunk xD

  • Do you know how to play basketball? all of you saying that dwight travels are blind shit eater.. i advice you to play ping pong..

  • @armhanjoy04 wtf?

  • i don't know if you guys know but the ability to travel constantly without being seen is quite remarkable and it isn't his fault the referees are to blind to see him travel... he uses it to his advantage idiots

  • i love hyperbolised titles

  • what's the name of the beat??

  • POOOOOOOMM!!!

  • 23 people can't dunk

  • i think i could've easily blocked that!

  • they make backboards/rims a lot stronger because of shaq. now they're pretty tough to break

  • @cauldrone20 actually impossible, sport science tested it, and it wasnt the rim nor the glass that break, but the arm-pit :) look it up on youtube, its pretty cool =D

  • not the most powerful ever. Ever seen shaq break the entire backboard and bring down the rim or breaking the hoop. He did the most powerful dunk 3 times

  • If you think that's the most powerful dunk ever..... check out about 70 dunks from Blake Griffin's rookie year that are more so.

  • LeBron sucks....

  • a layup would be classy, or even if he ran backwards and took a three

  • I was mislead by the title

  • hands down shaq has the most powerful dunks ever in the NBA just youtube it, if your think differently but by far D howard is holding down the most powerful dunker in the NBA today

  • Anyone remember when shaq collapsed the entire basket with a dunk?

  • Lebron traveled

  • btw Go Lebron james

  • Dwight Howard is nowhere near as dominant and complete as Shaq was

  • @future622

True that bro, but Shaq was kind of bad cuz his percentage for free throws or any shots were kind of bad, but overall, Shaq's pretty good cuz he was in cavs and then celtics. Celtics are pretty good and they accept him? then I guess Shaq's good after all. (btw this wasn't a like a bad thing about him if people think that this comment is stupid)

  • Are you kidding me? Shaq used to do this in his sleep.

  • Darryl Dawkins has the most powerful dunk imo. And it's not because the rims were breakable back then. His power dunks were a perfect combo of arm and upper body strength and weight.

  • its no longer possible to break the rim because the rim is attached to the metal support in the back, not to the glass. If shaq or howard played back in the day every dunk would break the backboard

  • GUYS: Oh Lord..."Shaq used to break rims, Dawkins once broke a backboard..."

Yes, cause they were made of oldschool materials that broke more easily!

Shit, guys! get your brains turned on, I once broke a backboard at 6´1 and 160lbs! Why? cause it was made of plywood! god damn!

the entire structure is virtually unbreakable nowadays!

it will fold down into the stand before it breaks!

  • "most powerful ever"? Have u forgotten about shaq? Come on now!!

  • ya, break-away rims kind of ruined the whole smash the backboard deal.

  • @yaboimclovin

    I did say maybe.

A piano is pretty freaking brutal so it isdefinitely unbreakable by human arms.

  • WEAK!!!!

  • if it doesnt break its not powerful

  • @TheIsmaeel99

It's not possible to break today. At least with a dunk

If Dawkins, Shaq, and Howard dunked at the same time, then maybe it'll snap off.

  • dwight was good, blake was better, shaq was the best !

  • Nothing is unbreakable.

  • I BROKE A RIM ONCE (6´1, 190lbs)...you know why? cause it was a wooden backboard!

The structures back then broke from much weaker and lighter guys then Shaq, trying to break todays backboards or ripping the rim down would require SEVERAL Shaqs!

  • This is not even HIS most powerful dunk ever. Much less THE most powerful dunk ever. Nice jam though.

  • hes gonna broke it

  • besides shaq's fater than dwight....

  • I would hate to be a rim at the Magic's home court

  • wow you guys... back than the backboard/glass was weaker

now its upgraded to titantnium steel or something

these days its much harder so it doesnt break anymore

  • heeelllll noooooooo

    not even close

theres been way stronger dunks then that

  • the new rings and backboards these days can even have the metal supporting the ring to the backbaord bend permenantly and not crack or break anything. they've experimented and dropped a piano on the new rings and almost nothing has happened to it

  • shaq puts that much power in his dunks ON ACCIDENT.

  • ive seen at least one darryl dawkins dunk that seems more powerful

  • tht ball was flying 500 mph out of his hands x)

  • anyone knows whats the name of the beat?

  • shaq still got more power than howard any time any day

  • @bryant362 hahahahhaa. boy u crazy? shaq is fat. 90% fat

  • weak and boring-like your face

  • that looked like them dunks shaq was throwin down in that movie - BLUE CHIPS.

  • a simple layup would have been fine as well.

  • @doneintheD16 Shut up, you don't know basketball or entertainment.

  • @chikenfriedricey im kidding you shit. Go die.

  • @doneintheD16 yepp.. and here comes Curling as the most watched sport on television.

  • @doneintheD16 no it wouldnt have. a dunk like that has more of an impact than just a weak layup, it intimidates the other team.

  • @TheBoiFlip no one is intimidated when a 7ft guy can dunk....lol

  • @magneto44 Ever been dunked on by a 7ft guy? it's pretty fucking intimidating. I play basketball and I got dunked on by Isaac Fotu, a guy that plays for New Zealand and he's only 17. He's 6'8 and it scared the shit out of me. BTW Dwight is 6'10

  • @doneintheD16 he would have missed the layup

  • @doneintheD16 A simple layup doesn't get 117 thousand youtube views.

  • /watch?v=w3FoCED40lI defo this one

  • shaq made the entire basket, including the base and support bars DOWN.

  • @SoAndChobe Cause of Shaq's weight he is 321 lbs dwight is "only" 270 lbs

  • @SoAndChobe Yeah back in the day when rims were easier to break.

  • you suck at making videos

  • the hardest dunker in the history of the nba is no doubt lebron james. theres a difference between hanging on the rim and dunking hard. shaq dunks hard but he broke the rim because he hung on that shit and hes hella heavy

  • @tonychoitellem Shawn Kemp has more powerful dunks than Lebron

  • @Wingen1337 o hes up there too but idk about the most powerful

  • @tonychoitellem I never said about him having the most powerful dunks. I just said Shawn has more powerful dunks than Lebron :)

  • @Wingen1337 then who do u think has the most powerful dunk?

  • @tonychoitellem Right now I would think Dwight Howard or Josh Smith

  • @Wingen1337 idk its hard but lebron would literally break the rim everytime if they still had the old school ones

  • @tonychoitellem Yeah that maybe... Thank for you talking about like an adult btw :)

  • @Wingen1337 nah just not trying to be rude

  • @tonychoitellem Darryl Dawkins broke 2 rims, and didn't hang on either

  • @hasdrubal216 ya but those rims arent shaq proofed lolz

  • tht looked like a bullet

  • I don't thing that is the most powerful dunk..=/ I think that Shaquille's O'neal break the BASKET dunk is the most powerful dunk ever...That my opinion...

  • no man shaq is just a big fat fuck that pulls down the rim by hanging on that shit. Dwight slammed that ring and gave it a good shake

  • @meaningless01 Shaq is without a doubt stronger than dwight. thats why shaq is crushing him in the postup game.

  • cant people just express their opinions on here? mjames23 i agree with you just because everyone else isn't.

  • naw, i love dwight and this is great. but jerome lane has the most powerful dunk ever. and in my opinion, the greatest dunk of all time

    SEND IT IN JEROME

  • Shaq has broken the rim.

  • i cant stand the way he says "dooling driving"

  • this is how you do the swallow slam... unlike andrew bogut...he injures himself with this dunk.

  • Darryl Dawkins was the original godfather of the power dunk. he broke 2 backboards, one on accident and the other on purpose. & after the 2nd time the NBA said: "don't do it again or else". He quit breaking backboards

  • weird slow mo stuff

  • lol you saw the dunk from dwight where the shot clock fell down? thats gotta be the most powerful dunk !

  • what about when shaq broke the backboard..

  • look this up. Justin Wills highlights.

  • i always wonder if dunking like that hurts his hands. . . .

  • doesnt hurt

i do that too (but obviously not as powerful)

and the compression rim absorbs most of the shock

but if you dont position ur hand properly something can go wrong

  • He didnt break it...so its not the most powerful dunk ever. Shaq has actually broken the whole structure on multiple occasions.

  • Shaq broke the rim because it wasn't resistant as the rim which there are now

  • type in shaq breaks hoop, he didnt break the rim he took down the entire hoop.

  • @maurixjames23 True but Shaq was still stronger

  • @maurixjames23

yup. But shaq was also alot heavier and stronger than dwight. Therefore, Shaq is the most powerful dunker of all time.

  • @maurixjames23 are you stupid shaq didnt just take the rim down it was the whole hoop and shaq use to dunk on people every night

  • @maurixjames23 and because he weighed so much more lol -.-

  • @maurixjames23 Shaq broke rims because he was the greatest center of all time

  • @maurixjames23 He didn't break the rim in the NBA though

  • @maurixjames23 shaq and chocolate thunder are a much stronger finishers then dwight will ever be

  • @maurixjames23 Shaq breaks the backboard because of his weight, not his power..

  • @maurixjames23

    e tam, pierdolenie...

  • @maurixjames23 and shag is fat

  • @maurixjames23 shaq didnt break the rim.... he pulled the whole hoop down

  • @maurixjames23 no the only reason shaq broke the whole structure is because he hung on the rim, he has probably20-30 kilo's on dwight

  • @maurixjames23 youtube.com/watch?v=y5jMOK87N7A&feature=related

  • @maurixjames23 HE brought down the whole hoop.

  • @maurixjames23 i still say shaq dunks way harder

  • @maurixjames23 Dwight Howard 6'11'' 265 pounds Shaq 7'1'' 301 pounds (1993)

broke the rim twice , don't give me that shit , he is nowhere near Shaqs power ! HELL even Jordan broke a rim...

  • @rmelgar9 kids are stupid lol dont know nothing so stop trying to act like that means anything ever heard of break aways?

  • @xrandymarsh yes, it just was my shaq day ! couldn't let this shit stand out, Shaq was scary ! it will be a long time for a POWERFUL player like that to compete again, I guess its every 20 years this phenoms appear , first chamberlain then Shaq ....

  • @maurixjames23 yeah they like triple-reinforced the rims because of Shaq lol

  • @maurixjames23 It's also because Dwight's dunks aren't as powerful. If you see the two standing next to each other, Shaq makes Dwight look like a point guard.

  • @maurixjames23 Shaq is the REASON why they had to make the baskets resistant.

  • that was before they made backboards safer

  • WHAT MAURIXJAMES23 SAID YOU DUMB FUCK

  • @zbjordan23 yeh that was before rims were "shaq proof"

he did break a shot clock in cleveland which is impressive, but Dwight easily dunks harder now than shaq did in his prime

  • @zbjordan23 they have strengthen the back board since then, so its harder to break it...so it might not be the most powerful

  • @zbjordan23 he broke the shot clock

  • @zbjordan23 It is because old rims were easier to break. Howard would break them all the time if they were like the 1s in shaqs time

  • @zbjordan23 after shaq broke a few rims back in the day, the nba reinforced the rims. if this was back in '92 , truss me the whole damn thing woulda come down

  • @zbjordan23 shaq broke an old school rim, those are the ones that's not so resistant and has no springs in it.

if dwight dunk those rims, it probably shattered for good too.

  • @zbjordan23 No one can break The actual RIM because it has a shock absorber. It is impossible. Even Chuck Norris can't break it.

  • @zbjordan23

ya they completely changed the structure of the rim and backboard.

  • Comment removed

  • @zbjordan23 MJ shattered the glass not trying to be one of those people who obsess over mj and kobe

  • @zbjordan23 shaq breaks them on purpose too dwight is not an idiot

  • awesome dunk

  • this is my favorite dunk wow omfg DWIGHT HOWARD ALL THE WAY MAN!!!

  • Perhaps his dunk that knocked down the shot clock was more powerful than this?

  • maybe

  • NERF HOOP

  • cant stop that...

  • God damn he almost took the rim down

  • I think the most powerful dunk ever was Shaq one or Dawkins one ; players used to breack rim... I especially love Shaq on Robinson in 96 all star game

  • I think they broke the rim because the rim wasn't very resistant, but they were still very powerful dunks

  • yeah since shaq

  • Dwight would bring the hoop down if they were as weak as they were in the '90s when Shaq did it.

  • Very power.

  • hell yeah hes gonna win!
