@theguythatcouldfly That is what I am going to do. I am going to start out around midnight. I should be out there around Mid-June and again in early August
I climbed it when i was 15, im 20 now,it was definitely worth it was tough but definitely worth it. Going to have to do it again in the next couple years
Nice video. Beginners should keep in mind that even the hike to the boulderfield alone (through the forest and the wasteland, as I call it) is very long and demanding. It sometimes gets downplayed by experienced hikers. I attempted a summit on 8/1/2011 with my dad, but he had issues with the altitude and we only made it to granite pass. I'll be returning to reach the summit this summer!
@ fliphopkinsI hiked it a week after this video and it took our group 14 hours round trip. It took us 8 hours to summit and 6 to get back It's a brutal hike. You definitely don't want to make it your first 14er summit as i did.

good video, was this a quick hike (did you book it up) or did you take your time? i might be going and i want a good understanding of how many hours it takes to get to the top?
@fliphopkins Seems to me they went damn fast. If you're not a serious hiker (ie not in shape) I would plan on leaving the trailhead by no later than 11pm. I'm big and slow, so I'm planning a 8pm departure, with time for a nap at the Boulderfield. Probably aiming for August 1st.
