  • every single band has some shitty songs, Except for the travelling wilburys, there perfect!!!

  • Whats the story behind Dylan's hat? Loooks like he just stepped out of a carnival. And he really is not a singer, and thats what makes him so mesmerizing, when he throws down all his killer lyrics.

  • "That grass ain't green

    It's kinda yellow"

It strangely remind my of :

    "The sun's not yellow - it's chicken"

Thumbs up if you Seeee what I mean !

  • Harrison really added the beatle sound to this song, i can really hear it.

  • Who else wants to be Jim Keltner? I mean come on, your a free lance drummer, and you get the offer to play with Dylan, Petty, Harrison, Lynne and Orbison?!?! Sign me up!

  • seriously.. who disliked this?

  • @MrsZuckerberg

I don't know, they're fools, but I can see why with Dylan leading the song in, he's a writer and a smoker before a singer that's for sure.. and you can just see Harrison asking Keltner why they let Bob Dylan, the man who has a genius mind, but a god awful voice start the song out, and Keltner just has to nod with no real smile or anything..

  • The drummer is Jim Keltner

  • who is the drummer?

  • bob tom & the late George..they're the best..i love them all..from Philippines tanzoarman@yahoo.com

  • is it just me or is Adam Sandler impersonating Bob Dylan in this vid?lol take a second look

  • @cree8kaos No

  • @cree8kaos NO.

  • Tom Petty's guitar in this video is one of the best looking I've ever seen.

  • This is like another way of saying “when life hands you lemons make lemonade

  • These fucking guys invented hardcore!

  • Never again will so many brilliant people be concentrated into one place. My only complaint is that Dylan looks so grumpy, I wish he would smile more.

  • @mylightside Bobs a badass. He does what he wants

  • hes magical.

  • I LOVE Tom Petty !!!

  • It's not Yellow, it's Chicken!

  • Love you Jeff Lynne!!! Love the Electric Light Orchestra too!!!!!!!!!! (ELO)

  • @fromspain7

And today it's Jeffs birthday, horray :-D

  • @fromspain7 omword! someone actually knows ELO?????? awesome!

  • @16wani :-D

  • @Yyyyzyyy 0:28 George Harrison

  • Comment removed

  • Pretty damn arttracted to Bob right now. Gotta calm the hormones, I think xD

  • Another piece of shoddy editing. At 2:16 to 2:21. George mouths "it's inside out" but it sounds like it's Tom singing. Tom leans in right after and he gives George a sort of whatthe kind of look. Don't know why they would keep that in

  • @JaiMooney Nope, it was George singing "It's inside out". It was just a lead in to Tom. Nothing wrong with the edit.

  • All my favorite singers in one band! Fantastic!

  • Learning to play this on guitar. Pretty much the best song ever.

  • they definatley play well together no doubt!!!

  • Lucky Wilbury's my favourite

  • @mkennedynz

    Otis Wilbury's mine :-)

  • @16wani Lefty Wilbury all the time

  • @angrynostolgiamann12 Gotta be Nelson Wilbury :)

  • Loving Dylan's look in this video.

  • lol yeah, maybe sandler is a young version of bob?

  • bob dylan = an old adam sandler lol

  • Anyone, and that includes all the Wilburys, that even attempts to sing harmony with Bob Dylan should immediately get whatever highest civilian honour that is available in their jurisdiction.

  • I love the music of the Wilburys. They've put out some of the most infectious rock beats ever. Those guys were obviously having a blast. I'm enjoying the hell out of playing some of their songs. Now, do any of you fans who play guitar, know the chords that are in this song? The online tabs have it down as being in the key of "F", starting off with a 1,4,5 progression. It sounds way off to my ear when I attempt play along with the CD. Help? Thanks.

  • Cada vez que la escucho me da la sensación que es la mejor canción de pop del mundo. Es lo que suele pasar con los grandes temas grabadas de esa manera tan brutal.

  • Is it just me that sees Adam Sandler?

  • yep, if only roy was there.

  • Inside Out? Think about WEARING THE INSIDE OUT by Pink Floyd. Handle the ORB with CARE, the DVD is FRAGILE...

  • Dylan que estaba tomando en esa epoca?...

  • Tell me something...

How come I rarely if never hear the Traveling Willburys on the radio even on the stations that play Beatles, Tom Petty, Bob Dylan songs?

  • @korkiwi Because corporate radio sucks. They only want you to hear whatever they feel like playing.

  • If only if Roy was there...

  • @fredmarkb

    Yes, if only

It saddens me to see them without him

  • Bob Dylan eres Grandioso!!!!!

  • La voz de Tom Petty y George Harrison son extraordinarias en esta cancion.

  • Si que fueron un Grupo estupendo.

  • špičková zostava,špičková hudba.nádhera

  • sad that orbison died before this song came out

  • Gives pollution a whole other face, doesn't it? Just turn it inside out!

  • They need to fire whoever's in charge of the equipment.

    There's NEVER enough microphones...

  • Sorry Tom Petty is as homely as a cake of homemade soap. But he's a good musician.

  • Tom Petty,

Ya...know this song well...sorry I said "no" to you Tom at Mississipi Nights...St. Louis...i was with a date that night...lol

At least I can listen to your epic songs...etc. Love you all Forever and a Day.

  • George has the most incredible beautiful smile as he watches his bandmates. I miss him so much. I've loved him since I saw him on Ed Sullivan in 64. Still love him today.

  • @piratesorka

Yes, what a beautiful person. He tread so gently.

  • @piratesorka wow how old are you?

  • holy moly, this is so different from the original video

  • The harmonies wtihe Jeff and George at 1:48 are Beatle harmonies and remind me of 60's harmonies between john/george/paul

  • 1:20 and then 1:28

where the hell did bob get sunglasses?

  • @dogluver2398 I think those are Roy Orbisons.

  • @dogluver2398 After a Rock and roll Night!!! he no singing!!!! jajajajja

  • @dogluver2398 It might not even be him as he had to tour a lot at this time hmm... haha

  • @dogluver2398 all i can say is it must have been Roy making his presence felt ...............

  • @ivehadit1 Amen!

  • @dogluver2398 He's bob dylan, your agrument is invalid!

  • @mobbydick15 How so?

  • @dogluver2398 holy crap good catch

  • @angrynostolgiamann12 Not really. I was just watching and then all of a sudden I was just like "What the crap" and so I went back about five times to kind of understand what happened... And then I still didn't understand what happened.

  • @dogluver2398 He can do anything he wants. He's Bob Dylan.

  • @Scarperguy Tru dat bro

  • @dogluver2398 lol That's true !!

  • @dogluver2398 he say Jeff with his and was like, i need to be momentarily more badass.

  • @dogluver2398 They porobably didn't shoot it all in one sitting, so the second or third time they filmed he randomly had sunglasses. Its just poor editing. Doesn't mean the song's any less amazing.

  • @dogluver2398 He's Bob Dylan, i'm just surprised he's still alive!

  • @dogluver2398 he got em using his Bobness

  • @dogluver2398 Never noticed Dylans sunglasses, i think i would have noticed if Jeff Lynne took his off though.

  • @Tertbs

That would be the day, Jeff without his trademark :-)

  • @dogluver2398 It's Bob Dylan. Magical sunglasses and harmonicas can appear whenever he wants xD

  • @dogluver2398 Obviously this was two takes edited together.

  • @dogluver2398 . Um,,, Bob has worn sunglasses MANY times in the past. Check, Unplugged, for one, or many of his press conferences from the 60's.

  • Everyone brings something different to the soup - I love them all.

  • This is really Jeff Lynne's band. It's ALL Jeff here.

These other assholes aren't fit to carry Jeff's jockstrap!

  • @NOTgarycoleman r u crazy gary, the shineing lights behind this band was always Roy&George...they we"re all great , but when those 2 died so did the band fella.

  • @gumusluk16 I'm sorry, but Dylan sounds like he ate a box of rocks here. But then his singing voice was always atrocious, even when he was young. Tom Petty has a better voice, but it's too similar to Dylan's (and two voices like that should never be in one group). Jeff, George and Roy had great singing voices (especially Roy/Jeff). George's voice has gone through its ups and downs. He wasn't that great a singer early with the Beatles, but by '67 he had mastered it (Something's pristine vocal).

  • @redletter2008

I've heard a radio interview where Jeff's singing It's Over, and, humble as he always are, he claims that he cant't compete with Roy's voice, but my God, Mr. Lynne's got an amazing voice :-)

  • @16wani Roy Orbison genuinely had one of the greatest singing voices in rock music history. I agree with you though regarding Jeff Lynne. He still sings as well as he did when ELO was huge in the late '70s, and is probably one of the most underated singer/songwriter/musician/producers (is there anything musical he hasn't done?) in the last 4 decades. Lynne had George Harrison's praise and allegiance (insisting Lynne produce the 2 "new" Beatle tracks in '94), and that says a LOT! A great talent.

  • @redletter2008

Yes, Roy Orbison ha one of the great voices. ( I wonder what it would sound like if he would have been singing opera ? )

It's a cry and shame, though, that Jeffs genius are so underestimated, maybe part of the explantation is that he was lighteyars :-) ahhead of his time ?

  • @NOTgarycoleman are you serious? wow you're complete moron move on

  • Comment removed

  • The Harmony is pure Jeff Lynne and ELO

  • Now this is what music is all about

  • In memoriam Roy Orbison.

  • I got a number, i'll hit for you. Thanks guys.

  • I'm 15 years old and born in the wrong time...

  • The universe is a torus, the galaxy is a torus, the solar system is a torus, the earth is a torus, I am a torus. You feel me?

  • Thumps up for Bob's hat!!

  • 21 people's outsides are in

  • 21 people have buried their will...

  • @PsihedelichniatYogi stop saying that.

  • Doesn't Harrison looks kind of like Leonard Nimoy in this vid?

BTW wasn't Roy Orbison in the Traveling Wilburies? Where is he?

  • @MetalSlugzMaster He died right after they released their first album and as this song is on their second album he wasn't there.

  • @MetalSlugzMaster sadly Roy Orbison died in the middle of making their second record. The song called its alright is about that incident. RIP Roy O.

  • @MetalSlugzMaster Roy passed away soon after they finished recording their first album. This song is on their second album. The second album is dedicated to Roy.

  • George is sooooo gorgeous and i don't usually fancy tom but he is good looking in this one <3

  • Dylan always looks pissed, or constipated, maybe both.

  • Thank you for this post! I'm hearing all of the stuff you all have mentioned about this tune. These guys are bringing some of the best they've got here for this movin' little number. The vocals are so there. DAMN that more was not to be of TW.

  • one of the last bands that made good music

  • another fantastic performance by bob dylan love him

  • Can't you hear the beatles harmonies in the middle of this song at 1:44.

  • I hate it when I'm inside out...Just can't stand that....

  • 19 people are deaf.

  • This song is so perfect.

  • No better band leader than George Harrison :) x

  • Spectacular harmony! Pure joy to listen to! Thanks!

  • Loucura! Muito bom!!!

  • Can't stop watching this, all SO talented, just love Tom Petty in this, when he rolls his eyes when he sings 'twist and shout'!

  • @ Wolfman 10000000 George Harrison, Tom Petty, Bob Dillon, Jeff Lynne, Roy Orbison..... btw, who is the drummer???? they never give him credit but its the same guy video after video...........???????????

  • f off ads

  • 2:59 Dylan smiling!:D

  • who was all in the traveling wiburys?

  • proper music

  • Guitar work reminds me of "Rumble" by Link Wray...

  • My last name is Petty - you wouldn't believe how many times people ask if I'm related to Tom Petty, and when I tell them my kin is from Terre Haute, Indiana - they ask if I'm related to the race car driver! When I finally tell them I'm not related to anyone famous, they make fun of my name.... like, "how is it going with a name that means, 'trivial'?" "Do you call your checking account, 'petty cash?'" and so it goes on... ad nauseum...

  • Swell !!!!

  • the best super group in the world

  • Old Jew is marvellous!

  • This drummer looks like he gives a shit, unlike ringo starr.

  • @DoYouLikeToPartyIdo dude fukin serious? Ringo is awesome!

  • No pride here, they enjoy making and playing music. :)

  • @jsshotter3 No kidding - No mic hogs, no divas, no not sharing the song. It must have been awesome for the people taping & recording these videos. To be right their in the action, sharing it with them, watching them play & sing. The things they toy with, chat with each other about when they break. That much greatness must have been like a fine wine. They honor & respect each so much & are very proud of what they accomplished with the TW band.Sad that Roy & George are no longer with us.

  • as a kid... i made up actions for this song. my family took my sister and i on a trip around australia for a couple of months and the album this was on was the soundtrack to the whole trip for me. i was learning to read and write at the time and i still love it today. wish i knew the moves we made up.

    peace from australia

  • Thumbs up if you think Bob Dylan and Tom Petty sound alike!

  • take it from a planehead dude

hey stevie wants to hear this tune rasta

  • Thanks guys for this music!!!!!

  • i love this song

  • 17 people are inside out

  • God, Tom Petty is sexy.

  • @Hefelump1 he sure is.

  • @Hefelump1 ugh you're not like one of those girls who only likes the Beatles because they're "cute" are you?

  • @scalbard No, in fact I love all these artists for their musical merit, both in the Wilburys and in their individual careers. But there's nothing wrong with pointing out the obvious.

  • @Hefelump1 totally sexy.

  • I can't wait for Ringo Starr to take The Beatles on the road after Paul McCartney dies.

  • @guinnesstrail

Um.......what are you talking about? After McCartney dies, Ringo will be the only Beatle left.

  • @PatrickTX100 Cause Ringo da Dingo :) sorry NSerious :)

  • Well, the harmonies are very ELO but it's not much of a song, really, given the talent on display... but they are old c**ts... :o)) x

  • i miss george, n roy

  • I ain't no hippie, but this is good s#it!

  • it´s cool be a rockstar (Hi tom am ringo what´re u doing? -nothing -at all- that´s great let´s make some bad bad songs-ok let´s do it)

  • Just in AWE of Keltner.

  • @EroticCheesecake Well, I saw him twice, and then he's wearing one just like it here and then I've seen pictures of him wearing the hat, I have a feeling he lies it and considers it his style. :)

  • Two British Guys. Two American Guys=Good Band

  • @EroticCheesecake I saw him on Halloween last year and I saw him last night in concert... he was wearing a hat just like that both times. What a life long dare then... LOL!!

  • Around 2:36 I hear strains of ELO :0) It is so refreshing what each of these marvelous performers brought of their own backgrounds and musical abilities to embellish this song.

  • @609Blondebomb The ELO dude is that Jeff Lynn?

  • @theart1rm Yes.

  • @theart1rm PS: You might want to grant him another "e" though...

  • @theart1rm Absolutely. A musical genius in his own right. I own every ELO song ever released

  • @RAYNEALAVERY I love "Hold on Tight" play it often, but didn't know anything about the band. He's really achieved alot of successes in his life. Played with so many remarkable talents (other than himself). He has plenty of friends in the music world that's for sure. I'm just learning about him & MC, TP, GH, RS, RO and others. I've listened to their music but haven't researched/followed their careers.

  • @theart1rm Check out the Travelling Wiburys Handle With Care here on youtube. That video was made before Roy's passing. You get to see all of the "Wilburys". Six musical geniuses (including Jim Keltner) the drummer.

  • @RAYNEALAVERY I know. I have watched it several times (5 or 6). It's amazing how they all stood around the mic & recorded it like that. That they harmonized it so beautifully. No separate booths, with separate mics. They all shared. Per Tom they picked that room because of the accoustics. They recorded several songs like that. I don't know all of them. But if you are watching the videos you can tell which ones were sang in that room. Thanks for the name of the drummer I didn't know his name.

  • @609Blondebomb I hear all the influences of each music with their respective bands. Very nice mix and very well missed! Whose still walking the earth with us from this group? I know Dylan and Petty for sure but..
