to bad the gov has fenced all the beauty in and kept all the locals out.
Hell shell gas and other drillers have more rights to the land than the Florida tax payers. Only they can access the hundreds of roads that wind through the glades, off limits to all but those looking to pillage and steal more wealth from the lands.
I once went to school with Osceola's daughter, I wonder how they feel now that most of the lands are owned by the government.
You cant fish, hunt or hike there anymore. sad

I'm in Okeechobee - glad to know the Army Corps of Engineers are undoing what they did to dry up the land. They are already working on re-crooking the Kissimmee River, and have plans for re-flooding the everglades from Lake Okeechobee - it'll be years I'm sure. But they finally realized they f'd up!

I just went gator hunting a few months ago in the Kissimmee River where you're talking about. Looks like it's going to be beautiful. No more straight man-made lines!
