actually her Imdb page and her facebook page lists her birthday as 1974. Since her imdb entry has been around longer than her wiki entry, I believe it. Everyone in Hollywood shaves off one or two years. Nothing wrong with 35. She looks great.

I agree with 61Terri, Derek was definitely in Kim. They were always hugging and touching each other. They just couldn't fight their feelings. Derek is always talking about how amazing Kim is. We can see as the weeks went on why? Because, lil'Kim is so sexy and sweet.

cont. I mean real committed relationships. Kim and Derek have alot in common as Derek has said in previous interviews. They both love music and they both love dancing. Derek's vocus right now is his music and Kim can really help him in this area, and I think she will. I think that Derek is a good guy and wouldn't want to hurt Shannon, but if he was so in love with her he wouldn't have been so into Kim. Derek and Shannon's relationship has probably gone it's course for him it's a big world

I really think that Kim and Derek's chemistry was the real thing. They definatley are into each other. We all know that Derek was getting grief from Shannon at home all the time. Just like we all could see the chemistry so could she. I just hope for Derek's sake that he doesn't fight his feelings for Kim. He is only 24 years old he needs to experience relationships with more than a couple of women. I'm not talking about hook ups he probably has had enough of those lol.

I agree. I think Shannon was probably standing behind the interviewer. Because notice in this clip, Derek's hands are behind his back when usually he always touching her or holding her hand in the other clips. I think they are keeping their distance simply to calm down Shannon. I agree with you that Kim and Derek would make a cute couple. Maybe Derek COULD handle Kim, you never know! LOL! Don't you think?

I don't know if Derek was joking around when he told Kate, that he loved he got to kiss her and liked it. Do you think he was serious about that? I am curious what his girlfriend Shannon thought about that?

Derek was probably joking around with Melissa and made a joke about having a dream about her. Like I've said before, Derek and Kim was kind of like best friends during the show, and maybe after.

Lexa4227 - I didn't read it - it was a clip of Derek using a flirt line like he and Kate should practice kissing. I couldn't find the clip of him saying he liked kissing her -maybe someone else will. He seemed to meant it.

I agree. Kim and Derek was extremely close on the show and they probably talked about not crossing the line, especially since he is committed to Shannon. i am hoping they stay live long friends. I agree. I don't think we've seen the last of these two.

Also if anyone goes back to when Kim and Derek was rehearsing for the 'Team Tango' performance. Notice there was tension there coming from Derek and Kim, they was bickering about a particular move. Kim asked Derek something like, 'Are you okay?' He replied, "No, I'm not.'

So I think the closeness between Derek and Kim was causing tension at home. But after elimination, on GMA, Derek and Kim was smiling at each other and keeping contact.

I can't help but be curious about what is going on between Derek and Kim now? Are they still friends? Still talking? Who knows what is going on. I am wondering will Kim do the DWTS tour this summer with Derek?

Yeah... I think the TV Guide Interview caused problems for Derek at home. Also the pictures of Derek and Kim taken down in Miami caused tension between them as well.

I'm sure they're still friends. I think that they now just know that certain lines can't be crossed; in respect that he does have a live-in girlfriend that he's committed to.

They're closeness was unlike anyones I've ever seen on this show. If you go back and look at certain parts of the shows, Derek was always seeking out Kim's hand to hold. Or touching her affecionately. A friendship like these two formed won't be broken. Kim's very loyal. I don't think we've seen the last of these two.

I agree with you guys that there's some kind of cold tension between Derek & Kim here. They acted more like polite strangers in this clip, AND in their day before elimination clip.

Maybe some of the chemistry they had was just them putting on bit of extra acting for the show. And now that Season 8 is over they don't feel the need to as much.

I don't think their chemistry was for the TV. The day of the elimination the behind the scenes report said they were the only couple off camera slow dancing and holdiing each other off to the side out of view of the cameras. They said you could tell they were genuine. I think the tension that people are picking up on is due to them being too close (pictures in Miami, both making loving comments to one another) causing tension at home for Derek. They're definitely toning it down on camera now.

Yeah I had the feeling that maybe their closeness might have caused problems at home for Derek. However, in this clip, /watch?v=duAKQoN6kvs they was that tension but by the next day, elimination day, they were back to their normal touchy feely selves.

To me their Chemistry is real too but I just wondered if it was maybe slightly forced on the day of elimination because the day before, and during their group Tango practice, something was a bit off. And...........

I did read that article a couple of weeks ago. It was really obvious especially to me watching on TV, that Derek and Kim was really close. I didn't really surprised me at all that Derek said Kim was his favorite partner. Oh I wanted to mentioned when he said Kim was his favorite partner, the interviewer asked, "What about your past partner and current girlfriend, Shannon Elizabeth?"

Derek was a little startled and quickly replied something like, "Oh my second favorite partner."

I don't think Derek and Kim's chemistry was forced on the day before elimination day. I think Kim and Derek's closeness was getting Derek in a lot of trouble at home. I think that was the 'main' reason why Kim and Derek was a little stand-offish and distance in this clip. Only because I think Shannon was standing near them. Wouldn't surprise me. lol.

But what I even more curious about after their final performance and when Tom was talking to her, Derek was playing in Kim's hair.

I saw it and thought it was cute. I thought it was even cuter when Lil' Kim jumped on his back and kissed him on the cheek. Also, when she hugged Ty's arm and put her cheek to it. She's such a sweet spirit. I don't think she thinks of the connotation others have towards being affecionate. I think she showed affection equally to everyone on the show. Cheryl said Lil' Kim loves everybody! Btw, I do believe Shannon was there Finale night. She was present backstage at several of the shows.
