  • @siany45 its because it's built over a golf corse :) I always drive through it to see my grandparents in Herne bay :))

  • I'm sure its a bunker. Why all the doors? Why the building on the left as you exit the tunnel ( driving south )? Hmmmm... Why the traffic lights telling us to stop when red????

  • My 6 year old loves this tunnel....it means we are nearly at his Grandpa's in Herne Bay....I love this tunnel going the other way...it means we've left Herne Bay :-)

  • I'm from the NE of England and used to work in Kent - so I've driven through this 'tunnel' many times. I say 'tunnel' because, it was built (at enormous cost to the tax-payer) to prevent the overlying golf course being disturbed.

    Jesus, surely the only thing disturbing about golf is that anyone would be lame enough to want to play it!
