It's completely okay to insult religious beliefs. People take this stuff way too seriously. Let's face it: religion is an easy target for jokes... It has everything you could possibly wish for in order to find ideas for a good joke. We need to stop elevating religion into something sacred that must not be criticized. This kind of thinking is where the problem came from in the first place. If no one had ever taken it too seriously, we wouldn't be stuck with the problem we have now...

Basically, agnostic atheists tend to take a neutral stance, and speak out against willful ignorance. I personally hate willful ignorance, be it religious or otherwise, and I try to correct it. I never tell someone to stop their religious beliefs, but I tell them to accept proven scientific ideas.

If god has always existed, since the billions of years of 'existence' then time relative to him must be incredibly fast. The 2000 year period is like... a minute to God. If Jesus is his son, it would not be surprising if it was the same. What seems like 1-2 minutes to him is like... A thousand years.
