I don't know why people are bitching about this game, the gameplay and graphics of Metroid Other M are awsome and the story and voice acting is nowhere near as bad as they say. how was the bottle ship able to reach GFHQ if it is a remote part of space. that would require the use of an FTL drive but the ship only has sub-light drive. other wise it would take years just to get thar and when anothony hits the breaks the ships inertial dampeners where unable to counteract it obeusly it would counteract the affects of droping out of FTL but not if you slam on the breaks at super sub-light
Even though the script and voice acting weren't such big problems for me, I ended up thinking of loads of ways to make this game a lot better than it actually is. One way was for Adam to walk into this room and shoot Samus like he actually did, but then he would instead explain why he's there and why it's his duty to sacrifice himself to destroy Sector 0. Then he and Samus would blow kisses and everything would continue without anyone complaining.
It's ridiculous how people want Samus to act like a robot. I saw the same thing in Tomb Raider, which in the last games, Lara Croft was emotional because she was trying to find out her mother's whereabouts, so some robots said she was stupid... Now these guys complain because Samus is acting like a normal human in this game.

Adam shot her in the back so she wouldn't have enough power to stop him into getting Sector Zero. We should thank Adam, because if Samus went into Sector Zero, she would've died for no reason, seeing as there were still Metroids.

I wouldn't think Samus would listen to Adam anyway. She already disobeyed his orders once when she was chasing the Deleter. If she wasn't so weakened, she wouldn't just let Adam get away because he ordered her to. While weakened, she desperately tried to get him not to go into Sector Zero. If she wasn't weakened, I don't think a simple "order" would've stopped Samus into getting to Sector Zero.

If you're cut off from your CO, you have to make some decisions on your own, and activating the space jump was a perfectly justifiable decision. That's not remotely in the same league as what we're talking about.

My interpretation is that Adam shot her because it would deactivate her suit for a while, then he could have time to go to sector 0 without her, because he knew that if her suit was activated she wouldn't obey and would try to go in with him. But this is my interpretation, they didn't explain clearly why he shot her. Anyway, he didn't shoot her to hurt, she knew that, then for the love she had for him she ignored it.
I like how Ridley has a reason to be there this time around. Overall the conspiracy side of the story is pretty cool. The emotional side is a little forced though.

Samus is a human, not a robot. She never changed, who read the manga and listened to Fusion knows that. Other M is the first game that shows her personality and personal life with more attention. @Anduril74871 I'm kinda new fan of Metroid too. But I already know all games. ;D Zero Mission (remake of Metroid 1) is fun to play, but I think the original is much better, although being older. The bad thing is that Metroid 1 and 2 don't have maps, and 2 doesn't have colors. But you can find maps on Google and colour Metroid 2 by the VisualBoy emulator. Check the website CoolROM and search for Metroid, then you'll see most Metroid games and their consoles.
@BrunoSan1986 well, samus is a human with the DNA of the Chozo and some special exoskeleton in her body so hm... she is some kind of hybrid? even tho she is still human, but with some "perks" ;) and i like that they are showing the human side of her.

I'll never understand why so many people are hating on this game. They are so caught up in Metroid Prime which is borderline non canon anyway, that they can't accept that she is "HUMAN." even the greatest badasses have something they still fear but they're ability to overcome it is what makes them awesome.
That´s not the problem. Samus having emotions = sure why not. But this Game is shoving it down your throat. If i want to play a game that is 80% Story driven (with an actual interresting story) I play Metal gear. Metroid Prime put the series in another Dimension / Genre and still managed it to keep the atmosphere that super metroid had.
This game is better then Resident Evil 5 at least.
