What's wrong with people's ears that claim this woman couldn't sing? Listen to that voice, it jumps off the speakers -- it's emotive, in tune and articulate. And I can hear her belting it out.

Never saw an opening or ending like this show deivered! This was true Vegas style, . . . BAMM!!! In your face! The lady truly delivered during this entire show. And it almost makes one understand people's critisisms of so many of her other performances, because the ones from this show are perfection.

I just have to say, whenever I need to get inspired I watch this performance. She is my all time favorite female superstar. I don't want to diss anyone, but let me just say that you female artists, particularly the black ones, owe her a HUGE debt and contrary to what anyone thinks.. MS. ROSS IS THE FIRST BLACK POP SUPERSTAR. PERIOD... AND STILL THE BEST THAT EVER WAS.

I got this VHS stillto this day and watch it all the time, I remember this concert on HBO too and Dionne Warrick had a concert on HBO that same yr! Diana brother was one of the back up dancers!

Stephan, thank you for sharing this video with us. I remember when it came on HBO back in 1979. I wish they would release it again on dvd maybe Feb.2010 when Diana will celebrate her 50th year in the business. She is a Class ACT.....

This is from a DVD I bought from Amazon. It has a black cover with her name in white handwriting. It has the entire concert, whereas, some other DVDs have just the songs & not the connecting stage patter. This DVD was taken from the original official VHS of the show.
