To anyone who thinks this is okay, you are not tough. You are not strong for saying things like "FUCK HIPPIES" (@DaBlakNovA). The issue here is not that the fish is being eaten alive; in fact they are mostly dead at that point, although they are still responding to stimuli without electric shock, indicating that the nervous system is still alive. The issue is that they are boiled alive in oil. That is inhumane.

People, if the fish is dead, even if its nerves are still active, it is dead. It is almost the same as anyone who eats seafood. its an illusion, the fish doesn't feel the pain people. it is dead so this isn't any more crule then anyone who eats any animal or plant for that matter because they feel pain too.

@hjames78 You are mistaken. Death is not actually attained until the central nervous system is inactive. The fish is responding to stimuli other than electric shock, so the brain is still alive. However, it is certain that the nerves below the "neck" area are destroyed, so it cannot feel the meat being pulled from it's dorsal area or tail. It does, however, feel any contact with the area closest to the undamaged head.
