  • lol show us how the flaps work the whole way through the vid. but good video

  • niiiiiiiiiice

  • That looks great in yellow!

  • nice plane but u spent to long showing us the flaps we understood after the first 5 times!

  • The Yellow T-28 looks great! Nice plane :-)

  • yes we know it got flaps no need to be hitting switch through whole vid.....

  • Gorgeous Looking T-28! Flaps are a great mod too. How many degrees is full flap down? Im putting some on my Apprentice.

  • So you can get that paint at home depot

  • @spencersaysmeh

Yes you can, and it's only a few bucks!!

  • nice color!

  • @rg26100

Thanks - it shows up very well against a bright blue sky!!

  • very nice work, love the flaps and paintwork, ! Good landings as well.

  • Hey thanks for the nice comment! The is one of the only times I decided to post a video with a camera on a tripod. It's a little boring, but I wanted to showcase a few landings and take offs.

  • the video should start at 1:45...

  • Like what you did to your T28 - I have the new blue navy version. I would like to know what kind of foam safe paint you used on your plane. Thank in advance for you reply.

  • Hey thanks for the comment. I used Krylon Fusion paint on this plane and it worked like a charm! I've got two tips for you when painting: 1.) wipe down the entire plane with rubbing alcohol. This helps the spray paint to stick better. 2.) After you're done painting, do a light coat of polycrylic to prevent chipping/flakes and give it a nice shiny gloss.

  • Hey there - I used Krylon Fusion paint on this kit. You can pick it up from most "Big Box" hardware stores. I also used Apple Barrel paint for touch up areas. The secret is to give it a final coat of minwax polycrylic once you've finished painting. This will give it a nice shine and will help the paint from chipping off.

  • wow.. you should take a lot of shots of the flaps being lowered and rasied.

  • I was thinking this video needed more of that!

  • bend your nose gear foward,it will make ground handling so much better!i did it and also bent wing gear futher out, handles, takes off ,lands great!

  • Great idea! I'll give it a shot and see what the results are like. The grass on the field we fly at is kept pretty short, but I'll take any help I can get with ROG from grass!

  • Nice job!! I like to make changes on my ARFs to... Someone told me years ago that ARF kits look the same, therefore make yours stand-out .... Be creative!!!!

  • Looks great! But why go to all that trouble if your gonna fly it without a pilot?

    Icing on the cake mate.

    Good job.

    Goose

  • Ahhh - good eye Goose! I didn't like how the stock pilot looked, so I too him out and never replaced him. I probably should find a replacement soon. Thanks for the comment!

  • Hi minneflyer- I would love to be able to do this, and certain I can. But I am wondering if there are any tricks that you learnned along the way or are willing to walk me through how you did it. I am scared i'll screw up my wing- though its no big deal to get a new one. With that said- the biggest challenge is creating the flap. Is there a special way you used to cut into the wing with out going too deep?

  • Don't be nervous about cutting into your wing - after all, it is just foam! I've figured out that light-weight spackling compound works great for repairing and filling in a botched foam job.

I'd be happy to walk you through making the flaps - it's actually pretty simple. Send me an email or message and I'll get back to you with detailed instructions. Take care!
