  • I'm so glad you posted this video. I'm having surgery on the 12th and just posted about my preop jitters. Seeing your viedo has made me feel a lot better because I'm coming home the same day also. Thank you so much. This WLS community is the BEST!

  • I'm scheduled for lap band surgery on July 27th 2010...5 weeks from now. I posted my first youtube video last night. I have been watching videos constantly, I'm so thankful to you and all the others who have documented their journeys. The past day or two I've been concentrating on pre-op and day of surgery videos....I am just so ready!!! Thanks for all you do!!!!

  • How soon can u start heading to the gym and start doing sit ups and leg lefts after surgery? Doing my research. Thx :) JiveGirl24

  • Wow! Had you not shown your bandages I would have found it hard to believe you had surgery that same day. You are a champ!

  • funny! I do feel lucky about how i felt the day of surgery and throughout the entire recovery process. I am not sure if I was a champ, I as trying! Take care.

  • I wish I would have known about the push on the belly trick. I still have gas!!!

  • HOW MUCH WEIGHT HAVE U LOST ?

  • 26 pounds

  • You look great ..alot better than I would expect the same day of surgery....that is VERY encouraging for me..getting banded in a few weeks..lol Take care of yourself and good luck on your new journey.

  • Congratulations! Yay! Yes, the first day or two is the worst. I am glad you are doing well now! Yes, I asked my surgeon to push down on my abdomen to "burp" me...and I didn't have any pain from CO2 gas this time. I think when you ask, they do an extra good job. So, it is good that you asked! Yes, they are supposed to do it, but I don't think they understand how bad it gets if they don't do a good job with that if they haven't experienced it themselves. Congratulations again!!!!!

  • Glad to hear it went well so far, and it's great to see you. My doctors have told me that losing weight will help my back. I'm glad to say that I'm down 17.2 pounds since the first of the year. Hopefully, next time we hang out, we'll both be lighter and healthier.

  • You've made it to the other side!! congratulations! Your wounds will heal quickly and you will be up and out before you know it. Take care and remember if you have any questions, just ask. Take care and heal well!!

  • Glad to see you on the other side of surgery. Welcome to the "loser's bench".

  • Congrats on a successful surgery! Sounds like it's all going pretty smoothly so far...glad to hear the gas pain isn't horrible. It's weird how every surgeon is different, mine is using the Allergan 10cc band but leaves it primed with 3cc's. Maybe I'll have to wait longer for my first fill though, I dunno. You're on your way now, yippee! I'll be joining you in 13 days. :)
