Oh, gosh, I love this episode. Especially Gorshin's Riddler which just never stops being amazing. He has this perfect mix of being funny and immensely entertaining and just a teensy bit scary.

When I saw this for the first time as a kid I really thought that Robin was going to be sawn in half, I remember wondering if they were going to show it. Especially the way the announcer asks the Question will we see the Boy Wonder sawed in two at 6:21.
this was the first episode I ever saw of this show back in middle school on TVLand. The riddler quickly became my favorite. I love his plots and riddles ^_^
An editing error - the shot should have been used earlier before the Riddler sprayed him with the sleeping gas. Two other details: in the long shots the Riddler has the can in his left hand, but in the close-up it's in his right hand. Also the spray can was one of two used in the pilot episode labeled A and B. In that episode he used can A to wake Robin up and B to put him to sleep, but here can A puts him out.
Should't he be more pissed-off! with the sexy girl!?! well would be hard to get mad at her I suppose but she is bad lol!! how she's lafing & taunting him "when he's in trouble" I swear that in all these epp's the way all these fine women do him over is enough to put the poor kid off em for life!!lol!!!

"becoming" is a nice way of saying it looks good on you, and girls wear bonnets (at least Little Bo Peep did), so I guess the trick was as soon as Robin figures out the answer has to do with "becomes a young woman" the young woman turns out to be the trap. That's the best I can do on this one. Maybe someone else has a better guess.

This episode was my favorite for many years, and still ranks near the top of my list.
Frank Gorshin's Riddler is still the all-time Bat villain, and he's accompanied by other wonderful guest stars in this one;
silent film star Francis X. Bushman makes his last film appearance as VanJones;
character actor Theo Marcuse, who appeared in every show from the early to mid 1960's;
and Sherry Jackson, one of the most beautiful and sexy women to ever grace the Earth as the delectible Pauline.
