  • i was wondering what type/brand of rice u use? and do u have to use a rice cooker thats what all my friends use but i dont have one

  • haha nice song :)

  • FRUITS BASKET SONG <3

  • If the rice is hot against the cling film i have heard rumours that it can lead to cancer in some way , be care ful :) <3

  • Fruits Basket *w*

  • Does the rice have to be hot for this to work or will it work just as well with warm/cooling rice? (Never made this before but I plan to in the near future and don't think I can work fast enough for it stay hot while I make all of them >.<)

  • @AlanaBlenkhorn Hi AlanaBlenkhorn! It works best when the rice is still hot. I've noticed that as I make them and the rice starts cooling, it doesn't stick together as well. It'll still work with warm rice though. Just make sure to compact it more as you make them. Good luck! :)

  • @kawaiidragon88 Thanks! I'll give it my best shot XD

  • :O!!! I love this song! :) It was on Fruits Basket! My second anime I ever watched! So beautiful. :) Your onigiri look very nice as well! ^-^

  • lol "these donuts."

  • Looks easy enough, I'll try it! Thanks for sharing! :D

  • Oh my gosh this video is making me hungry!

  • @thefurubafanfirl ooh I want to! I heart furuba!! (mm, Prince Yuki.... *swoons*)

  • When I heard the music I was like "omg! Furuba!! XD" but seriously thanks for the vid I will definitely try these! Ps Brock (pokemon) is sooo funny!

  • Great video! Thanks! And as a kid, I always thought those were the funniest looking "jelly donuts."

  • Fruits Basket!!! :D

  • Hooray! I actually found an English supermarket that sells nori. Emphasis on nori. Searching for seaweed does not get you anywhere :3

  • *Facepalms Brock*

Donuts? S-seriously? Wow, onigiri (is that spelt right?) looks easy to make.

  • i love this method. theyre so clean! does the nori get very soggy after?

  • @KittyDreadful Thank you! :D The nori does lose its crispness unfortunately. Sometimes when I pack them for my friends, I'll wrap the "naked" riceball in plastic wrap and keep the nori separate so that they can wrap them right before eating. You can give that a try if you want crisp nori with your onigiri. :)

  • I like your method! It looks so much easier to make!

  • @nenelolz Thank you! ^^

  • is that what brock says in pokemon?! i never realized but that's hilarious. BTW, your onigiri looked delicious. great job!

  • @pannie Thanks! Haha, when I watched Pokemon as a kid, I always wondered what kind of "donuts" they were eating. It wasn't til much later that I found out they were really onigiri. Darn US dubbing! xD

  • Great job! Is that the theme for Fruits Basket I hear? :D

  • @Taimuffin Thanks! And yes, that is the Fruits Basket theme! I thought it'd be appropriate for an onigiri video. ;P

  • Looks pretty :) Thanks for the entry! Good luck and happy new year!

  • @runnyrunny999 Thanks you! And thank you for having the contest! I love cooking so your contest was really fun! Happy New Year to you too! I hope 2011 brings you more tasty food and fun videos! :D
