  • hey i've got realflight and i don't have the gunship. where did u get it ? :-P

  • @dogbrain2000 Downloaded it from their site. It was for version 4.5 of RF.

  • nice...

  • where can someone find this simulator at? i'd love to practice on one before getting the real thing off the ground. If anyone knows please send me a message, thanks

  • @BaronNate Honestly I prefer Phoenix RC rather than this program, Phoenix has a more realistic flight model.

You can find links to Phoenix RC, Realflight, and this model for RF in the description above.

  • do you know if they make real remote controlled versions of these?

  • what did u do it on

  • Completely fake.

  • @johnhi00 You are completely an idiot.

  • @johnhi00 Good think you read the description i was worried it was real......

  • @johnhi00 i think you will find that RealFlight is the name of the simulator program. so before you open your mouth full of dick, pull your boyfriend ballsack out of the way and find out the facts. its in the first line of the fuckin simulator

  • @johnhi00 no fucking shit dude

  • @johnhi00 Your sooooo stupid obviously its fucking fake its a simulater

  • @johnhi00 You sir, should smack yourself. Very hard.

  • I'm wonder whether such a design would be viable in real life ; would it really fly?; I know that ducted funs address the problem of wingtip vortices to some extent, and thus, the efficiency is increased, but they have some weight too (I suppose that protection of rotor blades is the least improtant aspect here) ; I believe that if it would really be a good idea, we should have seen such a thing in Ospreys, but we do'nt, so

  • @STKLatarski oops, I wonder ...

  • @STKLatarski Yes it's possible for a tandem coaxial to work, it's just not very practical due to mechanical complexity. I found several links to fixed pitch tandem helicopters in the related videos on the right, I'm sure you have also.

I've yet to see someone do it with collective pitch.

  • it looks cgi

  • @ascabusi CGI stands for "Computer Generated Image". So by definition it is CGI. Read the entire description and you'll be up to speed with the rest of us.

  • yes yes yes looks like lots of fun

  • I know this is an RC, but does this working here, mean an actuall prototype could literally work? That would be kuel...

  • YAY i like it :D

  • How long is a normal gas turbine RC heli's duration, on average? The gas turbine aircraft normally don't have all that long, so I was wondering how this one would work, considering it basically has too run at full throttle all the time.

Lastly, I have seen some 3d heli's at work, and they can go absolutely nuts. That you can control a gunship that defies convention so much like this one is a feat of it's own.

  • @Truex007 It really would depend on how large a real model was as to how long you would get in flight time. I don't think it would make much sense to do this specific aircraft as a turbine though as the lift to weight ration of turbines really isn't that great compared to modern brushless motors paired with lipos.

  • my god i hate this gamer shit

  • @smoothsk8r44 This has nothing to do with gaming, it's an rc simulator. You use the same transmitter in that you'd use to fly the real rc helicopter, but practice in a simulation in order to save you from destroying the real thing when just learning to fly or practicing for 3d. What I really hate are clueless people making comments on a video when they don't have a clue what they're commenting on.

This helicopter may not be real, but I was flying it with a real transmitter.

  • PhoenixRC is $130. The versions that cost more come with a DX5e, 5 channel transmitter, but they really aren't worth buying, especially if you're going to be flying helicopters.

You can use any decent transmitter with Phoenix, but you'll have to get an adapter cable to connect transmitters other than Spektrum/JR brand. You must have some type of transmitter/controller in order to use Phoenix at all.

As stated previously PhoenixRC isn't a game, it's a simulator.

  • for everyone wantting this game its not free or cheep its a $85-190 game that has more realistic dinamics if you fly rc planes for real its nat a game its a simulater

  • What your game???

  • i would love to get a kit for this heli..

  • can you make your own Heli/planes on Realflight?

  • Of course its a game you morons, someone has just taken a picture of a road and a few houses and stuck 'em together in the computer, some of those things would have wrecked an RC heli if you even tried to do them, and some of the control dynamics were wrong.

  • @Stinkysplewdap It's not a game, it's an RC simulator. Nothing done in the video would have wrecked an RChelicopter if you tried it.

Real RC helicopters can fly upside down. So can the ones in this and other RC simulators.

  • @JoeSmoe1001 i know, that, these nonces don't... and if you tried them in a REAL helicopter, without all the fancy gizmos you RC boys have, you'll crash and burn if you're not high/stupidly-lucky enough

  • @Stinkysplewdap Real helicopters have had those "fancy gizmos" a long time. Look up "Fly by wire helicopter".

  • @8UP1977 Funny thing, I know a few people that are real helicopter pilots that also fly RC helicopters. Those same people will be the first ones to tell you that flying an RC helicopter is extremely difficult compared to flying the real thing.

In a real helicopter you can feel the helicopter start to drift and adjust for it. On an RC helicopter you have to respond to visual cues and hope that you've anticipated correctly. Obviously Stinkysplewdap doesn't have much experience with either.

  • @JoeSmoe1001 Yeah I've had time at the controls of a real heli and I also fly RC helis, quads and a few other hovering objects, and the models are definitely harder. RC helis things go badly much quicker and they need a gyro because of the high potential yaw rates. Stinky just thinks his shit don't stink.

  • @JoeSmoe1001 a simulator is a type of game... /derp

  • @badboy4202 No a simulator isn't a type of game. You're using the simulator to practice so that you can fly the real thing. The simulator is a tool. You play a game for the enjoyment/competition.

  • @JoeSmoe1001 I thought only helicopter with negative pitch can fly upside down...not all of them

  • @victorzzt You are correct all helicopters aren't variable pitch, but this one is supposed to be.

  • @Stinkysplewdap You do realize that they have model helis that use the exact control arrangement that the Avatar gunships use right? That and obviously you've never seen someone flying an RC heli 3D. They defy belief.

  • is that real are you a big fat egg

  • i looks like a game

  • If is it a need that game name

  • Is this a game ?
