u have 4 desktops running different stuff at the same time but it takes more resources than having them on only 1 of them.
Its pretty much useless unless u wanna hide a program that u want to keep running or u dont want them closing it (u just hide it on another desktop =P )
the program is called deskspace you can get a 14 day trial but after that you have to pay $20 just to keep it. Ubuntu + beryl does this better tho and its free
try Ubuntu i think u would be surprized!
