and whats in the back LEAF SPRINGS land rover gave them up in the 70s

Rover gave up multi-leaf STEEL springs. the Corvette uses a carbon fiber mono leaf! it's very light, very low centre of gravity, won't sag and will last forever. it also lets the Vette get away with a lighter anti roll bar.
