To counter blue shells, you should try and stay as close as possible to whoever is in 2nd place. That way when you go down, you take down your opponents with them, thus maintaining your lead. You should also spam both your offensive and defensive weapons, using as many item boxes as you can throughout the three laps, since everyone spams the trollish offensive weapons we all know and hate (blue shells, lightning bolts, homing red shells, etc..)

@ichypizza That means the track was taken and maybe slighly altered from the mario karts of from the other mario games. For example, Maple Treeway Wii is the maple tree way from Mario Kart Wii
