It makes me so sad when I look at the videos from the Westbank and Jews treat Arabs with such hate and arrogance. I too wept at the sight of the girl and her comatose or dead brother. Why are we so mean to each other? All those starving people are still around, but we hardly ever see them: the press does not record their misery.

I took a Holocaust class about 6 years ago, and that last image of the video was in a film we saw about the ghetto. I had to fight to hold back the tears, but a little of them poured out anyway. I assume they're siblings, and probably all they had left in their miserable world was each other. She must have really felt alone then. I wonder if she survived, but I would think it's highly unlikely. God Bless their souls.
