It is Eating Disorders Awareness Week. I usually love Betsey Johnson's designs but the anorexic appearance of the models detracts immensely from her fashions. The fashions might be pretty on more normal sized models. The glorification of the super skinny look kills people. Please, Betsey, have a heart. Please remember Anna Reston, Karen Carpenter, Isabella Caro, Luisel Remos and others. At least two of the commenters on one of my blogs are suffering from this. I don't want to lose them.

@ericacious Yes, I did. I like Betsey, her designs, and I liked that she used some normal looking models for one of the Pink Patch collection introductions. I was very concerned when I heard her say in an interview hat she thought her designs looked better on models who were a size two (not an exact quote) and there were definitely too many starved looking models in this Fall 2011 video. I love ruffled pink panties but felt that the skinniness of the models them detracted greatly from the look.

i think the reason people are complaining so much about the clothing is because they dont realize that you're NOT EXPECTED TO WEAR ALL OF THIS AT ONCE!!! she paired them like that so the audience could experience the shock value. all of her clothes are extremely feminine and can easily be worn in real life.
