I followed a link to watch your PhotoShop techniques and shooting tips. I didn't have the same approach as you did coming from a different background (art, painting, and film). But I came back, watched your drumming and just grooved right. YES! Jazz! Elvin, Tony Williams, Max Roach and other instrumentalists from Dizzy, Brown, Coleman Hawkins, Coltrane, Cannonball Adderly, Eric Dolphy, Mingus and on and on... It's often what I listen to while PhotoShopping. Glad you put this up. Greg
Monkman: Ever hear of Gretsch drums? or even a real jazz drummer like Tony Williams or Elvin Jones or Max Roach or Joe Morello or Mel Lewis. Jazz drum tuning is supposed to be OPEN, man, not like hitting a bunch of dull, over miked, over processed thuds. You couldn't GIVE me a set of Pearl anything. oh yeah, and the DeJonnette ride? Ever hear of Jack DeJonnette? I like a stick sound on the cymbal. It might be time for a little re-education dude. Thanks for the visit.
guuuuyyyyyyy, you need a new drum set, how about a pearl pro. These toms sound terrible. and that ride ur slamming on is bent or something because it just sounds like a pan. But i see what ur doing and it would sound great on a good kit
Your welcome, I had watched that one first... After thirty years of talkin, I bought a set of Ludwigs, like Bonzo's, almost brand new, w/ 26"B, etc. Vince has been helping me. Dalai Lama said: "Pass on your knowledge, it is a way to guarantee immortality." Thanks for helping me.

Thanks much for the comments, everyone! It's just really fun to play and to share music with others, especially improvised drumming!

How nice it is when individuals have a passion, even better when folks have a diversity of passions!
