@BuddysSnackShack fastest I have gone on the flat was 76kmh. That was in ideal conditions. No wind etc. I have no idea on the HP to be honest. I haven't changed anything on the bike in about a year.
thats a rock solid bike engine, com it comes from Australia, just bought one myself. It's a hopped up grubee thats been gutted it has a new crank with needle bearing on both ends of con rod & a new cylinder, head,& piston the carb is also like a delorto with the chambered pipe it's probably putting out around 6-8 hp. that also a jack shaft from sick bike parts.com it allows you to run a chain on the right hand side to your front sprokets with a freewheel attachment so you can use your gears.
Just the head is from RSE. The engine itself is just a standard grubee skyhawk gt5 "bad boy". The carb is also standard apart from being over jetted and having a velocity stack. I will definitely be buying a RSE motor for my next build though!
Its just one of the common Chinese "happy time" 2 stroke engines you can buy in kits from everywhere. Mine is a grubee skyhawk gt5 66cc. Have a look on ebay for them or check out motoredbikes . com for more information on where to purchase and what they are about.
i just bought a skyhawk gt5 off ebay. holy hell i didnt realize its that loud. I live in a city too, so this will be interesting. I wonder how many times I'll get pulled over?
The definately increased the torque and makes the bike run smoother. More 4strokey. Just today I picked up a velocity stack and cone filter and now the improvement is massive! I may have to go up a jet size!
nice ! 5* i find these such a cool hobby, im a big time petrol head !!!!!!!!!! but half the fun is building and tuning then theres the bit when you get to go for a spin without paying any rego or insurance ;)
did the head give you much of a boost ? i just removed the gasket at the bottom of the barrel and it was quite noticeable
What is that bottle in the front there? If its boost, are they not supposed to be the size of displacement?
BuddysSnackShack 3 months ago
@BuddysSnackShack its a boost bottle from boost industries and it is displacement matched.

What kinda motor is that? I've never seen anything like that on the market. Kinda looks like a pocket bike motor.

whats the blue things stuffed in the cooling fins? i just picked up a gt5 and plan on hot rodding it
hamrhed42 2 years ago
just some cut up pieces of silcone. Cuts down the high pitch ringing from the engine a little bit.
