I agree with lightbringer, hes probably in traffic and dosen't have the liberty of taking it straight to the top non stop as you would on a closed course. Ive taken my 03 Z to 186 fairly quickly and left my nephews m3 pretty damn quick and dont remember him ever catching up untill I slowed way down. Fun stuff.

This guy who drove this vette was screwing around with the throttle alot. The vette is not hesitant past in the higher speeds. I have an 2002 Z06 and it completley blows through 120 and so on.
You can't make an estimation of top-end power without understanding the course. The video says nothing about the car's ability because of the unknown variables.
picks up pretty good till about 120, thats the only thing i hate about corvettes, the seem to kinda loose power after about 120,130, the m5 or the e55 will just pull straight through
That doesn't make any sense. The Corvette is more aerodynamic than both of those cars. It probably just seems that way because the speedometer changes from 10 mph increments to 20 mph increments. The Z06 leaves both of those cars in the dust at any speed.
@miladjuckel It's intentionally geared that way to retain the simply amazing fuel mileage/performance ratio. You can get nearly 30mpg on the highway, and it's reliable and affordable to maintain enough to daily drive it and actually do that too unlike some other cars ;)
@miladjuckel LOL r u kidding me. A z06 can do better than that. and u put any beamer against a vette and the BMW will be viewing the vettes tail lights within seconds, its not hard to beat a beamer...

The guy is just not accelerating at the top. He may be scared by the small block.

if you notice tho it goes from 10 mph increments to 20 after 100 so it seems as if it looks like it slows down more
