with "not that strong" I mean he's not exactly a great cleaner and jerker, even if (i repeat) he's got a great tecnique...for instance: rezazadeh is VERY strong, anatoly pisarenko was VERY strong, and so were leonid taranenko and aleksandr kurlovich (all these lifters were able to clean & jerk 260 kg and more: not scerb, who can reach 250 / 252 kg)...
by the way, viktors remains one of my favourite lifters
shit!! technician is a perfect word to describe him (or any oly lifter at that), because there is so much technique in performing such a seemingly effortless lift. oly lifters are the greatest athletes around!
not that strong? thats 16kg off the heaviest snatch of all time. i dont think you have any comprension of the kind of weight he is tossin around, the average ghy would struggle with a 100kg deadlift
I think Sergei Dydyk (spelling?) USSR did 216.5 in a meet, and a jerk of 261, giving him composite total (2 lifts probably not done in same meet) of 477.5 see at Arthur Chidlovski's site. I read that Krastev did a 222.5 in training and it's believable with someone alleging (??) Reza did 277.5 cj training (but where are photos right) we would have 500 possible in 2 lifts. Still waiting to be done by 1 man in one contest. Scerbathis is doing more than any USA lifter reached that rates him high!
bravo! perfect lift!
