This is not Hawaii, this is Syracusse, New York,Feb 27 1973. It is the American eagle jumpsuit he wore in Hawaii in Jan of the same year.

@smaselvis You mixed up this concert with Elvis Aloha from Hawaii concert in 1972 this concert before that show and stage specialy design for Aloha From Hawaii Show Jan 14 1973 this is November 18 1972.

i think this is different video from the 72 elvis on tour movie, especially the end.. there is no msg or hawaii in this video..dont know about the audio 199% though..

@jasonloveselvis And also it was not filmed under contract & preperation conditions. It was a last minute descision to allow the filming, and I've heard there were not platforms for the camera men to use. My info comes from meeting 2 Employees who worked there during these concerts and many years after...while I was stationed there in the Navy 1995-1999

New? I knew Charlie Hodge for a number of years before he died. We reviewed this clip. It is extremely bootleg. The soundtrack is indeed Madison Square concert. The footage, who knows? Appears to be Hawaii concert. Bootleg, nonetheless. Do I know something? Perhaps more than the cerbral ass who thinks they know something....

for ur information this is from the alternate aloha consert in january 73 at honolulu hawai.its already been out for some time to the public in a dvd, high very good quality.

elvis is maybe more relaxed in this alternate show so enjoy:)

Well you are out of bounds there. Because the song "You dont have to say you love me" on 3:43 was not sung in January 1973 in Honolulu. Im sorry. Also the jumpsuit look different in the beginning. Some sort of a star in stead of an eagle.

It is sad that in the 1970s I remember the period as bittersweet with both Tragedy & Joy. Loss of my Loved Ones & Entertainers. It should have been enjoyed more but with the deaths of Janis Joplin to Elvis Presley made it impossible to be the most enjoyable decade in history. It was a real sad waste.

interesting, i know that when they were talking about making the aloha special the producer or the manager(or something) of the show were presented with some material from elvis -72 shows, and he was very disspointed by his looks. And thats why u see elvis so incredible good looking in the aloha special from jan 73...well he was just human i guess

Yeah the original Aloha was planend for '72 and this was a tryout for the crew - the tape is so bad just because it was not stored and was neglected. This WAS pro shot tho, even tho people will tell you it wasn't. It was mixed live, so no alternate angles exist

This was filmed by a Japanese TV crew. They used 8mm cameras to do it. Thanks for the upload.

Well if they used 8mm then it is not professionally recorded. Had they used large TV or motion picture cameras THEN it would be considered "professionaly" filmed. Just because this was filmed BY professionals on an 8mm camera doesn't make it professionally shot...
