My rat terrier snatched a baby possum off the top of my fence. First thing ive ever seen him kill. I guess his instincts just kicked in. Theyre great ratters.
Possum's can be NASTY and Fierce. Saw a Vid of a Jack Russell taking care of one bigger than he was. Depends on the disposition and size of the dog. A rat Terrier is the best of the Ratters hands down with that said they may not be as "psycho" and a bit more logical than a Jack Russell against predators outside their breeding instinct. I was in LA for over ten years now back east. Not for long though! I'm looking for a Rat Terrier myself.
GROSS creatures. I've had experience in Los Angeles with them. Unfortunately no Rat Terrier. What state are you in. The Rat Terrier is a better Ratter than the Jack Russel correct? They were designed for this. I'm looking for one myself.

@spiritartman We are in California too. I wouldn't of let the dog hurt the creature. In fact I was scared the opossum would hurt the dog lol.
