  • Holy crap, I was addicted to that game back in the day (that, & J.J. & Jeff). If I remember right, one could rack up some serious points (followed by an extra life) by head-bouncing the enemies, repeatedly, w/o dropping them.

  • i was one of the few kids who had a TG16.

  • awesome,i have the nes version,my freind gave me a bunch of nes games with it for the nes.

  • Ah, brings back memories.

  • how old r u now

  • turbo grafix 16 is an under rated system

  • I am thinking of picking one up. Recommended?

  • YEA

  • I've played it quite a few times on the Virtual Console, and it's awesome. It's really hard, though.

Shame that the TurboGrafx-16 is a very overlooked system in America.

  • wow realy good graphics for this almost like snes

  • Actually I think they did!

  • the video is out of sync

  • Yeah I know that happens whenever I upload as MPEG4 for some reason!

  • When they released it on the Amiga in the UK, they sort of took it back to it's original name and called it "BC Kid".

Which works pretty well! They ran a competition in CVG magazine fro who could come up with the best name.

  • Hey Dude , Im pretty sure as far as the Wii goes , the Nintendo Nes games are $5 each

turbo Grafx 16 most games are $6 , SNES and Genesis are $8 and the N64 is $10 there alittle too much if you ask me and there way too slow putting out the games, They should Give us acess to there intire library at day 1 I dont get that , but its a cool feature . Bottom Line there is nuthing like fireing up the old systems and playing on them appose to the Wii.

  • love your reviews. I remember this game well, today it doesn't seem to have aged as well as other classics, even the NES games.

  • mn12bird. all tg16 games on the virtual console cost 600 points. import pc engine games cost 700. tgcd games cost 800 and import pc engine cd games cost 900.

  • What is a turbo grafixs 16?

Was it not very popular or something ?

Because the most popular 16 bit systems were the snes and the mega drive weren't they ?

  • You must be young. Turbo Grafix came out around the same time Genisis did, in late 89 or early 90. My brother had one, and I had the Genesis. The only game I really ever liked on TG16 was Y's 1 and 2 on CD-rom. Genesis was just better overall. Especially with Graphics.

  • Yeah I know it came out earlier in Japan. I don't know why, I just think Genesis was better. Maybe it was because the games. TG16 was cool, but I guess I was just a Genesis lover.

  • Yeah the Turbo Grafx 16 was one of the first "16" bit gen systems. It was called the PC Engine in Japan and came out in like 1987. It was the first system ever to get a CD-ROM drive too. It was really popular is Japan but not so much over here.

  • it was an early 16 bit system, and yes it wasn't very popular.

  • 2000 Wii points over here (Ireland) cost 30 euro, how much dos it cost over in America?

  • 20 dollars or so with a credit card, but 20-25 dollars plus tax for the gift card

  • Wow our Wii points are much more of a ripoff,

Our wii points would be about 44.10 of your american dollers

  • Haha, I didn't know TG16 games came in a CD-like case!

  • yeah it has a CD-ROM add on drive (the first CD-ROM based console!) and so the games on cart and on CD could all be stacked together.

  • in high quality the audio is much better i didnt think youtube making them into FLV (to stream) file type changed the audio quality!

  • Yeah Youtube has always used FLV video format haven't they? I know they used to be mono only but recently they have changed the specs they allow. I think stereo and 640x480 is allowed on high quality mode.

  • Hey jake why dont you have any next gen consoles waiting for the price to drop?

  • I had a PS3 and it sat around for months I just didn't care to play it! I thought I would use it for a media center but (at the time) it wasn't playing MPEG4 and the likes out of the box you had to transcode everything on your PC and use mediahome or whatever its called. I didn't like it as a media center I preferred to use the old XBOX anyway. So I sold it like 4 months after buying it! The only reason I would care to own one is when GT5 does come out in full.

  • loving the high quality vid. hope there are more to come.

  • I've been experimenting with different formats and resolutions to upload to YouTube. The sound's off a bit in this one as it was in the Jag review (but it was hard to notice because there was just me talking!) but the picture looks great on this one! Not sure why the sound is off but I'm half way to finding the perfect combination!

  • On the Wii Virtual Console this game costs 600 points which is equal to $6.

  • Damn guys if you click "watch this in high quality" it actually looks great!

  • My SNES blew up! I AM NOT KIDDING! Shit...FUCK!

  • That has what to do with watching this in high quality? Post in the correct threads guys!

  • No, but my SNES blew up and I am very sad. Great video quality btw.

  • putting &fmt=18 at the end of a youtube link works as well if you dont have the option

  • Looks like a fun game man. Im gonna have to get a TG16 one day. 5/5 dude :D

  • What's your problem!?

  • awesome video man. I played this game once but I never got around to buying it, which I really want to. Just can't find it anywhere.

  • Ohya, this game still kicks ass and I wish Hudson would do a next gen version.

  • he already said he was going to

  • i want a TG16, also will you do AVP for the jaguar
