i have a 10 gallon fish tank as well and i just wanted to know what your setup was? Like what equipment are you using to maintain this tank? It's beautiful!
just wondering is it easy to maintain this tank? i had a 10g tropical fish tank didnt go so well as i have no experience with fish any guides will be great thanks!
Hey how many pounds of live rocks is that? i have a 10 gallon brakish tank and in a few months im going to upgrade it to a saltwater tank and can you give me a link to the filter that you use?
cod0mw2 i can answer your question on that one your clown was probably put in first a clown fish is calm but very territorial when its settled in their for you always put a clown in last on your list especially if the tank is too small
thats my tough to. i have only a hi fin red goby with a pistol and a blue legged hermit crab and it seems enought to me. over here everyone tells me not to keep ocelaris in such a small tank because of....bla.
For a hang on back protein skimmer try this site: aquatraders . com it might help. I had once a set up much like yours and I miss it, I might set it up once again. Thank you for sharing your tank.
Nice aquarium. Some of coral need light to be active and when you off the light the coral will shrink. The coral that I have when night it shrink but when the lights on it get active again.
i have been reading a lot about beginning a saltwater tank, and first step is the cycling process. i am wondering what the setup for the tank is? any advice? your coral is very beautiful. thank you.
hi nice looking tank and love the corals you have as i am knew and still learning everything plz can u have a look at my 2 vids of my tanks and tell me what u think ect thanks
I love your tank! Awsome job! I see you have trumpet coral, I have the lime green Candy cane and it is just so colorful and bright! Very hardy also!!! Again just awsome!
I'm going to be honest... you have too many fish... at most only 2 small fish in a 10 gallon with frequent water changes and an efficient skimmer... it seems ok at first... just give it a few months... it will go downhill... trust me i've been there!
Every tank differs from time to time! You will have your downfalls and ups! Some people do get away with that many fish in there tank! I have only a Clown and Firefish in my 10 hex, but like i said it can go downhill at any point also!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Tank's okay, but you have WAY too many fish in a 10g tank. 2 max for a tank that size, any more and you have way too high of a bioload. It will come back to bite you later with fish deaths and nutrient problems.
I love the setup! Mine looks similar, but has an ocellaris clownfish, blue damsel, scooter blenny and mandarin dragonet. Love them all, but the mandarin's a brat! She steals my clownfish's food and knocked down 3 corals! lol
hi im connor. i have a 30 gallon saltwtar tank and a 100 saltwater tank pluse 2 fresh water tanks.
for about a 10 gallon tank it will cost about 200-300 dollers. just to set it up. pluse whatever fish and/or corals u want to by. if u need more info come to my channel (trying not to spam)
It depends on the requirements of the specific fish and the size that the individual fish gets. I know someone who has a 5 gallon nano aquarium and has kept this rare, small Goby in the tank for almost 6 years now and it is doing great. If the environment is established and stable, the right species of fish can definitely live in a nano aquarium.
Truthfully, I do not really remember since I bought this coral so long ago but I do know that it will not be anywhere over $20. But it will depend on the size that you get it and the exact specimen.
Some corals will actually accept frozen fish foods that you normally feed your fish. They work the same way that carnivorous plants do, which consists of closing in on there food and slowly digesting it. However, you should go with a commercially prepared food specially formulated for the consumption by corals. This usually will consist of a bottle of concentrated phytoplanktonic organisms that you simply squirt onto the corals. It is easy to find and beneficial to the health of corals.
sorry that was a dumb question i should of looked at the top lol but i have another question can you please tell me how to acclimate a coral because i an thinking of getting yellow star polops(dont know how to spell lol) but please can you tell me i subscribe to you please???
Well if you go and take a look at my 3 part video on how to acclimate a saltwater fish, I use the same exact method for coral acclimation. Anyone else will probably give you the same method. However, it works, it is very effective, and it saves your coral from stressing to death.
