  • I like the title of this video.

  • collectivists all of them.

  • I dunno, i have a horrible feeling that democracy is doomed as the gravy train politicians will sell us all out to their career advancement. Greece will not be allowed to leave, a Euro Army will need to be created to put down the insurrections across Southern Europe, and a Federal Government created under an 'Enabling Law' just like the Nazis did. Plus the EU are trying to kick things off in Syria and Iran to justify the new Euro-Wehrmacht.

  • @LeamingtonSteve Why do you think the Tories are scaling down Armed Forces expenditure? because it will all be subsumed in EU-Wehrmacht. Stand by for German Army helmets as standard issue.

  • WE LOVE U NIGEL KEEP UP THE GOOD FIGHT TO GET US OUT OF THIS STINKING CORRUPT EUROPEAN UNION AND TO SLAP DOWN THE UK GOVERNMENT WHO THINK THEY CAN GET AWAY WITH LIEING AND REFUSING US BRITS OUT OF A REFERENDOM EU VOTE

  • Hannan and Farage are endbosses

  • @sonykroket no they are Epic end boosssss

  • That Tory dork added nothing of any value or substance

  • were was our referendum? fucking tory/labour/libdem scum

  • Ian Taylor clearly hoping to join the European gravy train. So he is not acting in the best interests of his constituents. Off with his head!!

  • VOTE UKIP.

    The E-u is a sham..

  • Why do we want a voice in the world? If it doesn't affect us, who cares. Britain is the interest of the British Government. I'd quite happily be a country like N. Korea (Ok definitely not that extreme) but in the sense that we do things our way, in our little world and who cares whats going on around us, we just remain in our own happy bubble.

Besides we do have a strong voice in the world.

  • the empire is finished, eu is last chance to cling on to some sort of influence in the world

Britain better watch its back other wise India will avenge colonialism

  • @harj2009 India can fuck off Britain cut their infant mortality rate in half during the sub continent's years in the empire.

  • Hello… Excuse me… arm waving wildly… can i and millions of others in the UK say something… no?… thought not

  • One year on, and Cameron now prime minister. Everything Nigel has said here, he has been proven to be right. There is no democracy in Britain today where Europe is concerned.

  • One year on, and Cameron now prime minister. Everything Nigel has said here, he has been proven to be right. There is no democracy in Britain today where Europe is concerned.

  • Pick the fights that really matter!? OUR NATIONAL SOVEREIGNTY DOES MATTER YOUR ARSE!!!

  • VOTE UKIP!!!

  • How about that introduction! Can you say Left leaning bias???

  • Torry's like jelly yep right on!

  • daniel is heralded as a brilliant and pithy fellow in usa, no wonder since uk interviewers are discourteous sharks

  • and he was trying to swerve the question over debate useless prick

  • @britpatRIOT100 In the end, UKIP will finish fourth in the Westminster Election. Sadly for UKIP (leaving EU Parliamentary Elections aside), not that many British people will vote for single-issue parties.

UKIP also seem incapable of engaging in debate in forensically analytical manner. Instead, their MEPS, like Farage, prefer to resort to personal insults (comparing Von Rompuy to a low grade bank clerk). Von Rompuy is a shrewd political operator who brokered a new government in Belgium.

  • Who cares what he says about Rompuy. Farage educates people everytime he is given air time. Destroys the LibLabCons and is the only party actrually listening to the British people.

  • @codownni You must be living in LaLa land.If he really destroyed the other parties, then UKIP would have a presence in the opinion polls as a major party. But UKIP scarcely registers in the polls. I can understand how UKIP and their allies can get carried away by Nigel Farage and his speeches. But, in the end, the British electorate will reject UKIP (as they have done in previous General Elections). UKIP are like a pet dog the British people adopt for EU elections to register the odd protest.

  • They dont get hal as much air time as the three major parties. They dont really attract the extreme left. As far as the "British electorate reject UKIP". They put Lab's in third place in the last European election. So it must be yourself in "LaLa land"

  • @codownni You misread my post. They will reject UKIP in the Westminster election, the most important election so far as the Brits are concerned. Wake up and smell the coffee codowni.

  • Ukip came second in the last national election, beating Labour, just thought you should know.

  • @1957Rotu Oh, so the fact that UKIP came 2nd in the Euro elections suggests an association with pet dogs?

Just because they are not as big as any of the major parties, does not mean their policies are weaker. Their policies are truthful and reflect the view of the British electorate.

  • well why not have a referendum to find out what we want you prick oh thats right because you know what the answer would be

  • I love the argument of "pick the fights"! Screwing your constitution is OK, what matters is the economy - as if the EU was not accountable for the current crisis also!

  • YT is like the EU in the respect that I am not able to rate user comments [+ or -] on here yet others can downrate me.

  • Hannan is a class act. There are so many sheep these days who just follow the pathetic left wing agenda (like the stupid socialist mug who posted his inept remark below), but Hannan consistently sets the agenda and educates people. Awesome.

  • Do you seriously think that a new Tory Gvnmnt will hold a referendum on a "total re-negotiation of the U.K.'s relationship with Europe"? This will not happen. At least not during the 5 years of the new Conservative Government (2010-2015).

Also misleading of Hannan to suggest that the U.K. authomatically savs £10 billion a year (if it does not contribute to the EU). Any UK financial inputs into the EU have to be measured against the benefits conferred on UK business by the Single Market.

  • " Any UK financial inputs into the EU have to be measured against the benefits conferred on UK business by the Single Market."

And then we compare that with the disadvatanges of not being in a global market, which is the real single market, and then you wake up from your dream.

  • @smoochym Only problem is that you do not have the expertise necessary to calibrate the "disadvantages of not being in a global market" with any degree of accuracy. It's clear from the imprecise nature of your comments that you've never had any training in economics. So you would be the last person I would call on to carry out this delicate balancing exercise.

  • You don't need a "delicate balancing act" to work out the disadvantages of EU tariffs and subsidies, high food prices and overproduction is one of many examples.

If you are so devoid of ideas that you can't produce a rational argumeent, save yourself the embarassment and don't pother posting.

  • @smoochym And low airfares, a cohesive road transport network and much greater equality in payments levels as between men and women are just some of the advantages of EU membership. But you're probably a man, in any event. So, please, spare us your "off the top of the head" critiques of the EU. You're not an economist. So spare us the UKIP propaganda please and learn how to take a more independent viewpoint. Hence my call for an independent economic assessment of the pros and cons for the UK.

  • yeah except when he's on Fox news brown-nosing the American right

  • @jbarks10 Why would you assume that opposition to Farage and Hannan equals "a left wing agenda". Strange as it may seem, there are some of us out there who are committed to close integration as between the peoples of Europe. Nothing to do with socialism.

  • @jbarks10 What? Hannan's integrity is in tatters after the Fox News debacle. He should by rights have lost the whip.

Farage, however, is a decent guy. I don't agree with everything he says, but I regard him as a sort of British Ron Paul. He makes strong, valid points, he has great charisma and he can back up what he says.

I think I probably speak to most people when I say that the EU can stay, but it needs drastic change and a reaffirmation of national sovereignty.

  • No-one in Switzerland cannot afford healthcare. The best way to get unaffordable healthcare is to socilise it as the NHS is/will be finding out.

  • got some news, we're not swiss. There is a large number of people here who cannot afford healthcare. The nhs is one of the greatest thing to happen to us.

  • Traitor Taylor.

  • So...

Hannan voted for Barosso the dictator!!! Bloody traitor! What a fucking disgrace.

Seems that only Nigel Farage and UKIP are to be trusted when it comes to the EU.

  • The problem is the missconception that Barosso is center-right. But he is an old maoist communist.

The alternativ to Barosso would have been Schultz the socialist or one of the communists in the EU.

Hannan voted for the lesser of two evils. We should take in count that Hannans knowledge of Barossos background is probably as poor as the majorety in Euorpe who view him as a center-right leader.

  • According to David Noakes who runs the EU Truth website, Nigel Farage is not what he seems. Although to me he comes across as genuine. See if you can find the interview he gave on Talksport back in June 2009. It's in 3 parts starting here. watch?v=WFkyK6asqVE

  • @bleedingheart2000 nice post, didn,t know that.

  • Hitler would have loved nationalistic parties. Nationalism is an enemy of freedom. Keep people in their place says NAZIs

  • Comment removed

  • 2:54 priceless face

  • im votin ukip next time fuck labour and conservative if farage is a sellout the its warrrrrrrrr !

  • The treaty will be ratified before the general election,so there will be no point in the conservatives in having a vote on that,it must be a vote on being in or out of the EUSSR.And Britain will not get the other 26 "states" to agree to our exit. After all they would loose £10billion a year, all OUR fishing area, all OUR oil and gas and the only army with balls.

  • mainstream parties suck

  • Where's all this so called "our European partners" and "European union" crap when British soldiers are fighting and dieing in the dangerous areas of Afghanistan, and the French and Germans are in the safe areas, where is it when the French are pushing all their asylum seekers in our direction, and where was it when the French sold anti ship missiles to the argies in the Falklands war. I'll tell you where, in the fairy tales of Politicians who stand to gain from fat EU salaries.

  • What does that have to do with anything? The French did not sell weapaons to the argies during the Falklands war stop lying. They sold them before and then worked with Briths intelligence to stop the argies getting any from anywhere during the war. You lie. Skeptics always lie.

  • "The French did not sell weapaons to the argies during the Falklands war stop lying"

NO NO NO, when the argies ran out of Exocet missile (while the war was on going), they asked the french to sell them more, the french took payment, but told the argies they wouldnt be able to supply them until a certain date, but the argies wanted them before that.

  • continued from last post.

So the French told the argies where they might be able to buy some more from (ON THE BLACK MARKET). the British government then protested to the French, who relented and told the British also where they could find exocet for sale.

British intelligence then went and brought all the exocets on the black market.

So the french only helped the british buy up every exocet on the black market. which woudnt of been needed if they hadnt told the argies first.

  • No the french helped the UK.

  • Ya, like they help us every day by push more and more asylum seekers our way. And like they helped us by paying their fair shear into the by giving up the C.A.P "NOT".

  • They come to Britain cos we speak English that is what you get for conquering people and making them speak English tough.

  • France denied deliveries of recently-purchased Exocet AM39s to Peru - to avoid the possibility of their being passed on to Argentina. France did help but liars like you want to deny this. Plus the USA gave no support at all to the UK.

  • The U.S (a true friend), offered to britain a multibillion dollar piece of equipment, an aircraft carrier.

And where all the french help in the dangerous areas of afghanistan, while british (your so called european union brothers) soldiers are dieing on a daily basis?

  • What there is no evidence they offered us an aircraft carrier. Are you kidding. They did not even scout out the argies with U2s. There is no evidence of any help being given by the USA.

  • I have found out the USA SOLD ARGENTINA Exocet missiles during the Falklands war while the French did not.

WILL YOU RECONSIDER YOUR VIEWS ON WHO OUR ALLIES ARE?

  • John Nott said France was out greatest ally while Reagan pressured the UK to surrender, LOL., Remember the French did fight with us in WW2 but they got beaten. Not really their fault they lost.

  • Exocets are french made FOOL!!, and I know you have not found out america sold exocets to the argies, because it was the french.

Who cares what john notts said, margaret thatcher said america was.

  • No the french worked with us. The USA did not. The argies also had britjhs bombs i suppose you will claim we were selling the argies our own bombs.

  • Ha! I'm an American but I'm drinking a British ale while watching British news. Mmmm...Boddingtons is good.

  • Boddingtons is weak, a true British tipple is Special brew or Tenants Super, Buckfast also popular North of the border.

  • Hmmm... I'll have to check them out.

  • Hannan should either go for leadership of, or break away from, the tories.

  • Agreed, IMO he should start his own party........he is a true democrat and libertarian(as am I) and barely shares any views with the majority of his party!

I think if he did that it would shake up politics in the UK, a group that people could actually feel proud to vote for!

  • Yep. It's time to vote ukip

  • What does "FoxNews favourite guy" mean? Hannan is anti-war

  • He basically is a frequent contributor to Fox segments, most famously when he claimed that the NHS was a 'sixty year old mistake' when speaking to Glenn Beck. Andrew Neill it seems to me is having a jibe at Daniel Hannan for appearing so often on a station which is often discredited as a serious news outlet.

  • so is the BBC and Vince Cable is all over it.

Conservative politiicans have to go to america to get on the TV i guess

  • I think that the BBC, whilst undoubtedly biased, is pretty tame in comparison with Fox News to be fair.

  • hannan is ultra smart

  • UKIPs time is coming!!!

  • But, but what about climate change? What a fucking wanker. If you don't get rid of these Bozos you are going to be a banana republic in no time.

  • Nigel for PM!!!!

  • What did they pay these guys to sell out all of their countries? This really is High Treason.

  • It was an interesting debate, but I'd like to see Mr. Hannan talking about why his group backed Barroso in the election. Did Mr. Hannan vote for him or he just followed the line of the party?

I think despite having members like Mr. Hannan within their ranks, the tories want to pose as much euroesceptic as they can to avoid people voting for the rising UKIP, but at the end they won't do anything remarkable. We'll see...

  • Whilst I would agree to the sentiment why people voted for Barosso, you'd have to ask yourself why he was the ONLY candidate put forward for the position in the first place. It's like New Labour with Gordon, no one challenged. This sums up what Europe REALLY is about, no democracy, no accountability. Just like true Communism. It is the European plan all along - pan Communism to replace freedom and democracy without a shot fired. Adolf Hitler would be pleased.

  • How can you compare it to communism it is not communist in any way. You might as well claim Dubai is communist. Do you know what communism is?

  • @liarpoliticians Yeah but who's the weirdo in the back ground?
